Okay, my "theory" on what COULD help you maybe (I am not a doctor btw, just a person who reads a lot!)
You have bloating, okay.
Bloating is the result of fermentation of food by bacteria. Air does not magically "appear" out of nowhere inside you, bacteria produce these gasses.
Since you have been diagnosed with SIBO this confirms that this is true here. Excess fermentation of foods inside you by bacteria.
Then we have the next question; why do I have so many bacteria inside my stomach/small intestines?!?!
A possible explanation, and in my opinion a very likely one; long-term ppi usage. We start with the basics; why do you have stomach acid? You have this to kill bacteria that you ingest and to help digest food! Most of your small intestines/stomach shouldn't contain barely any bacteria because the ph is very low there, they shouldn't be allowed there. When you chronically "remove" stomach acid, you can have a situation of an overgrowth because your stomach acid/bile acids are not longer keeping your stomach and small intestines sterile.
In addition to killing the bacteria by stomach acid, it also helps you digest food, if you digest this properly there is less "food" for the pathogens in your small intestines. But if you have a lot of undigested food there they will go crazy fermenting them there!
I think you should consider taking some betaine hcl to make your stomach more acidic. But, before you do, perhaps ask your doctor or read a lot about it online! You can read people's experiences with these problems in amazon reviews for example and by checking google "low stomach acid". Also always be very careful with betaine hcl and any other supplement, always start low dose to see how you respond, you also want to make sure you have no stomach ulcers!

Look into the reviews on amazon, try to google as much information as possible, learn from it, and try to think what could help you! I think these things are definately worth looking into for you. I really hope it will help you, good luck!!
It's just some clean eating wingnut who claims that the cause of GERD is low stomach acid. Weirdly I see no sign of this on pubmed, but maybe this guy knows something the rest of the world doesn't.
Or... he's got a book to sell.
Specifically, this one :

I see we have some similarities. I once would get bad heartburn quite often, starting with a case of gastritis actually. I had one really bad flare up that caused a sore throat for days. It felt so raw and was terrible. I was first put on Prilosec but that only works while you take it it seems. Also, I was told I may need to just take Zantac for most of my life when I need it. Unacceptable. I also would like to add that my health problems all got started after being overmedicated for an illness they couldn't prove I had. (thought I had mono, tested neg. for it twice. They gave me prednisone and antibiotics which mono wouldn't even need ) Since that, I don't take any medicines without my own research.
My diet is actually pretty high in fat (50-60% of my calories), but it works for me to not have heartburn. I know when I've ate too many carbs, because I can feel it...Just search for low carb diet for heartburn and see what you find. I also take good quality probiotics. Have you heard of this book : http://www.amazon.com/Why-Stomach-Acid-Good-You/dp/0871319314 I haven't read it but what curious if you knew anything about it. It is really well reviewed based on results and I've been told about it before. Although, I can't endorse it since I haven't read it yet.
The one problem with alternative medicines is the lack of research behind them in the medical community. Because, who out there has that money and gets a profit from researching that? I've read about many natural cures and have only attempted ones that were safe. I tried them and if they didn't work...no harm was done.
I hope you find a solution that works for you and prevents you from taking any medicines. By the way, I was also tested for H.pylori first. I guess it is standard procedure.
From my understanding, PPI´s in the longterm sounds like a real bad idea. Basically you are starving yourself because of the lack of stomach acid, absorption of minerals and amino acid is impaired
I don´t have heartburn so i can´t tell from my experience but it seems like heartburn is a symptom of having not enough stomach acid and not too much, sounds counterintuitive but i heard that form lot of sources
There is a supplement called Betaine HCL which provides hydrochloric acid to the stomach, seems to help for heartburn and other hypochlorhydria symptoms
This book sound interesting, check out the reviews

Basically it's part of a very popular theory online (but not among most doctors I've met) that heartburn is caused by too little stomach acid and that if you get a burning in your chest you should start taking Hydrochloric acid pills.
In his book, Why Stomach Acid is Good For You, Dr. Jonathan Wrights makes a strong case against using PPI and other acid suppressing drugs.
