Wires:
When the the Power Enable wire is connected to at least 3V (from what I read), I used the 5V wire, the power supply goes from standby mode to being on (LED on the PSU goes from orange to green). Disconnecting those two wires, the PSU powers down, no need for a pull down resistor there must be an internal one. Soldered those wires to a piece of perf board along with a slide switch to turn the PSU on/off.

I bought this one almost a year ago and, knock on wood, it's worked perfectly fine for me.
Sorry no sound - I'm assuming it makes the tone of turning on. Luckily for you, this JUST happened to me! I went through Microsoft's support and they told me that I had to buy a new xbox. What I did instead is purchase this power supply (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ARLTPMA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) from amazon. Showed up today and my xbox is working fine once again
