That's why I've been putting it off. My friend recommended this frame, which was really surprisingly not expensive. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M2OYYJA/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I15SG88E6CZFW0&colid=2T9UKCUJWOGT9 even in king size. And then the headboards I want are under $200, so that leaves the mattress as the most expensive part, and at least thanks to this frame I won't need box springs. :D Still definitely a post-summer expense, though.
My wife and I bought this mattress and this bedframe in January and we love it. You can be in a nice bed for a few hundred bucks.
You can't afford anything fancy that you think you need, and a bed is not an emergency.
