  • Screens:
Your laptop appears to have a M5970 /w VGA, HDMI and DisplayPort and Eyefinity support.
I'd recommend x2 of these IPS screens: Dell u2410. These screens have very good picture quality and their connections fits your laptop prefectly. They are pricy, but IPS provides the best picture quality.

You may also check 2412 and the 2312, however they do not have HDMI.

    ----

  • Keyboard:
Mechanical /w Cherry MX blue, or MX Brown if you prefer more silent keys (video comparing sound levels).

Check out brands like DAS, Filco, Leopold, Ducky, wasdkeyboards.com

    ----

  • To connect your PS3 to a monitor you have two options: use connect laptop to monitor using DisplayPort cable and PS3 to monitor with HDMI OR purchase a HDMI switch. Then, connect HDMI cable from your laptop plus the HDMI from your PS3 into the switch and connect the switch to the screen. You want a active switchr /w it's own power supply. You can also get HDMI switches with remote control. With the switch I linked, adding a TV above your station would not be an issue at all.

    ----

  • For monitor mounts you got two basic options: wall mount or a desk mount/arm. I can't speak for the wall mount, but I have three of those desk mounts and very happy with the purchase. You have to decide which mount fit you best. They both have their advantages.

    ----

For your laptop you got countless options. Here's my suggestions:

  • Although this does not hide the laptop in any way, I think a laptop stand like this one looks pretty awesome. An advantage with this setup is that you can tie the cables to the mount's arm and thus always be available. You will always know where the cables are, that they are long enough and you can plug them in to your PC even when sitting.

  • If you have a keyboard tray but don't use it, the tray would be an ideal place to hide the laptop. It'd be completely hidden and have almost the same cable management benefits of the mount.

  • Laptop stand. Just to mention it. Cables everywhere, possibly limited moveability due to cable length, terrible cable management.

    ----

Unfortunately I can't help you with iPad or chair, but I would advice against a glass desk. You will have a harder time with cable management and you will always be able to see your cables. If you get a desk such as the Galant series from Ikea, you get more options for cable management (such as trays and cable holes).

Sounds like you're about done already, but for a monitor I'd recommend either and ultrawide or 144hz.

First thing you should do if you think you'd prefer ultrawide is check if the games you play support the resolution (if they don't you'll get large vertical black boxes on either side). Below is the 144hz monitor I have and I absolutely love it, I played on my friend's 60hz monitor the other day and it felt like I was playing at like 15 fps; the difference from 60 to 144 is that big, and with a 1060 you should be able to get over 144 on a lot of games on med-high and 80-100 on high/max. If you're doing a lot of video/photo editing though an ultrawide might be best since most of them are IPS and will give you much more accurate color than a 144.

The little accessories like USB hubs would kind of depend on what your setup actually looks like and what you need. Headphone stands are pretty much universally useful though.

(I like the grills, as long as you can make the rest of your setup as aggressive as your PC)

I have included links to each product below the description for you to use.

For what l would recommend, it depends on your desk. Don't go with a glass desk, go with an IKEA Malm in white.
MALM DESK

You won't be getting a corner/L desk that is also standing. Plus standing desks are extremely expensive.

Then get RGB LEDs to go behind your desk and set them in blue for some aggressive looking accents.
LEDs (there are better ones)

For keyboards, go with the Corsair K65 Lux. It's compact design will keep your footprint on your desk down
K65 LUX

And if we are going with corsair stuff, I use the M65 Pro RGB. I love it a lot, it's a great mouse
M65 Pro

Use an extended mousepad, they are better
one example here

The Hyperx Stingers are cheap with great quality and a mic. They are amazing for the $50 price point.
Stingers

The BOSE Companion 2s are great speakers, but with a pricy. Recommend for casual use, not music production
Bose Companion 2s

I can't recommend any chair. Your chair needs might be different than mine, it depends on the person.

One more suggestion: paint one wall to match the color of the LEDs. It will make your room look/feel better.

u/Necro_infernus · 2 pointsr/AskBattlestations

They are a bit more expensive, but ErgoTech makes some amazingly solid mounts. great cable management, adjustable in just about every way, and can be free standing. This one seems to fit your bill for about $180 on Amazon:

Depends on your budget. I actually just finished a full sit stand desk using an Ikea Hammarp top about a week ago.

I used the Uplift Desk frame.

UPLIFT 2-Leg Height Adjustable Standing Desk Frame (Black) with Advanced 1-Touch Digital Memory Keypad https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N9JE412/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_UT-zzb5JH9KKN

You can purchase the frame from Uplift directly, but the one on Amazon comes with the more advanced control pad for the same cost.

This particular desk is damn sturdy, and it is rated up to 355lbs.

If you want a more budget option, something like this could work:

Mount-It! Stand Up Desk With Manual Crank, Frame Only, Height Adjustable Sit-Stand, Standing Ergonomic, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0716QP2QH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_m0-zzbSEEMG9G

This one is rated up to 400 lbs, but you have to use the crank.

Speaking for myself, I am absolutely in love with the Uplift Desk. The memory pad from amazon is so convenient since you just program and then it is a one touch adjustment.

I was making a similar choice, but my reasoning was for something I use during the vast majority of my day, I would rather invest in the desk I want as opposed to trying to save a bit and not be happy with the desk.

This is why budget is crucial to see what we are working with.

I'll see if I can post pictures for reference a bit later.

This. Mine is still in the mail on the way to me but someone has done this before and attached pictures in the reviews. It has good weight tolerances and size options and generally looks really clean and simple. I'm going to use it to get my PC off my standing desk but off the carpet too. I'm sorry that I can't recommended it as an owner but I definitely think it's worth checking out. There is clear glass, black glass, and aluminium as options.

u/syntheticocean · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

Quite nicely.

If the mount is anything like my old mount was, I had to use thin steel cables to hold it up on the ends. It sucked but worked.

http://www.tufnut.com/category.aspx?id=30

I don't really know how to describe how I did it. I'll try lol.

I hooked a steel cable to the end of one arm, and up to the top post of the middle of the mount. This was the mount. http://www.amazon.com/Tyke-Supply-Dual-Monitor-Stand/dp/B002R9HQLI/ref=pd_sim_pc_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=012CRCFVZPMV0FBS8VF6

Sticking out of the top post I had a bolt that the steel cable wrapped around to raise, or lower it. I was using pretty old and heavy Dell 2405 monitors so the sag was about an inch.

u/sonsofaureus · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

If you're budget gets blown by the nice headphones, this cheap USB DAC has been working fine for me. I use a Aiaiai TMA-1, which isn't the greatest headphone of all time but pretty good. I'm not a big audiophile however. In any case, the cheap USB DAC should sound much better than the no-sound from broken jack.

Bought this a couple weeks ago - looks great with my setup. Listed as unavailable right now for some reason.

Monitor Stand for Desktop, Black - Aeon 60123 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B6QAT66/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_.hx7yb7BD40C6

I have also used this Monoprice variant in the past. Works just as well as the one above, friend just needed one and I switched to match my desk/build.

Monoprice Multi Media Desktop Stand 22" x 9.5" (109434) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AJHCQD8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Rux7yb8DZ5E2P

Do you have any experience with the Gerton when it comes to desk-mounted monitor arms (or just how sturdy it is in general)? I currently have a 3-monitor mount but the base of it is huge so I figured I would get a desk-mount system for when I buy a new desk yet I am unsure if the desk can support it. It is one of the reasons I am so hesitant to go with the Linnmom/Karlby.

u/aceradmatt · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

The top is really wide thankfully, so I think it's good there https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Single-Monitor-Display-Mounting/dp/B00MIBN16O. I think I might add a leg if the sag gets worse though. Thanks!

u/webvictim · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

I have one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007BD0MPM

It claims it supports 3 x 27" monitors. I have 3 x 24" on it and I could believe it - there's still a lot of room to move them out despite me having them mounted in a line without too much inward tilt on the monitors.

It's not cheap and it weighs a shitton when fully loaded. I can't remember whether it comes with a wall mount in the box, so you'd need to verify that. It'd need to be a sturdy wall too.

I think you're pretty much out of luck trying to find one bracket that'll do 3 x 30", they're not only ridiculously heavy but also huge width-wise.

u/machtap · 3 pointsr/AskBattlestations

http://www.amazon.com/Ergotron-Desk-Mount-Tall-45-295-026/dp/B00689HXI4/ref=pd_sim_sbs_op_1

There are these, which have a 12" post. For me personally none of those options were tall enough so I ended up getting two of the standard ergotron arms with 6" posts and simply replaced them with ~$20 in plumbing piping from home depot. Overall it ended up being cheaper and taller than anything else out there.

The ergotron short and tall post versions are rated for 24" monitors according the the tech specs, but on a weight basis with the max being 20lbs. I have a 27" IPS monitor which only weighs 14LBS and it works great on one of these arms. Although I'm told that some older and thicker ( > 2 inches ) LCD monitors have a different center of gravity and that can sometimes be too much for the spring. Most newer monitors seem to be closer to half an inch and getting lighter all the time.

u/Squirrels_Gone_Wild · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

Good luck. She will still push the buttons, or pull the cords, or spill stuff on it. Only thing that worked for me was https://smile.amazon.com/Regalo-192-Inch-Super-Adjustable-Mounts/dp/B003VNKLIY/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=baby+fence&qid=1554683862&s=gateway&sr=8-3 and sectioning off part of the room.

u/anujfr · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

Hopefully. I don't want to spend 200$ right now with this. LOL

u/AskMeIfImDank · 2 pointsr/AskBattlestations

How much mobility are you looking for? This mounting arm can be attached to a desk arm/pole. I dont EVER move my monitors, so it worked perfectly for my build.

u/hodlhodl33 · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

I have had all three of those desks actually for different purposes. You must go with the ikea one and maybe consider having chair legs on every corner.

I can tell you if you buy an Origami you will regret it. The footspace under neath is too high up, it will feel like sitting in a first graders desk. It is really lightweight, easy to move, and good value though.

I'd be worried about the Coavas because the wood looks really thin.

What I did was bought your traditional pick your own parts Ikea desk. Put a leg on every corner. I used amazon basics monitor arm and put it on the corner of the desk. I'm not sure I trust putting it in the direct center. If you have multiple heavy monitors you may consider getting multiple monitor arms to balance the weight.

In the picture you showed it looks like an ikea desk. You can tell the monitor arm is not designed well as all the weight seems to really be centered and towards the front of the desk. The base is also really small which makes a small pressure point. So look for a monitor arm with a larger base.

u/LogicalJake · 2 pointsr/AskBattlestations

"1 over 3" monitor stands that don't require fixing to walls definitely exist. They aren't cheap but you could probably adapt one to your needs... I'm not sure if not having the extra weight of monitors on either side could effect the stability though.

EDIT: There you go! Again, not cheap though.

And a US link, actually a much better price...

Something like this would work: IOGEAR 2 Computer 4-Port USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch, GUS402 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BD8I2OY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Vb0kzbT01Z6E5

And then just have each computer on different inputs on your monitors.

u/IndestructibleNewt · 2 pointsr/AskBattlestations

Best mouse I've ever used in my life:

Corsair M65

It looks like its the same shape, though it might be a little higher than what youre used to, but it does help with grip and stability.
The software allows for full RGB control as well as macro recording and full keymapping. Its optical so no worries there, full dpi switching control.

It's got everything you need and then some. For under $50 its a total steal.

u/NoFrownClown · 2 pointsr/AskBattlestations

I use 3 ASUS VN247H-P displays with an Ergo tech triple monitor stand shown here. I love my setup.

u/TehBeast · 2 pointsr/AskBattlestations

I bought this riser and put it on the floor with my PC: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCVUDKM/

Off my desk, flat surface, less dust, less noise. Best of all worlds imo.

u/Akoola · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

Try an Ergotron Arm

I have two of these to hold my monitors and they are pretty great. You can run the wires through the arm so they are "hidden" and its pretty damn adjustable. There are other arm-things out there but they are pricier than the Ergotron brand i think.

u/tiptotip · 2 pointsr/AskBattlestations

IOGEAR 2 Computer 4-Port USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch, GUS402 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BD8I2OY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Kbv3Cb94RGW5M

I had the same problem and this is a solution. You are able to use the same mouse and keyboard for both - you will have to switch inputs on monitor(s) though. For me it works perfect and doesn’t break the bank.

I’ve been using this switch for 2 years now.

u/heyguesswhatfuckyou · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

When you say arms, I assume you mean the kind which clip to your desk.

How about individual wall mounted arms? These are usually pretty cheap ($10 - $25 each) and if you mount them properly they don't sag at all.

Here's one for $12:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003O1UYHG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1494052047&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=wall+mount+for+monitor&dpPl=1&dpID=41mSjibmRPL&ref=plSrch

u/nightcrawler99 · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

More monitor space is good for several windows side by side, as well....more than extra vertical pixels.

What about this, only one I can afford: https://www.amazon.ca/LG-Electronics-21-UltraWide-25UM58-P/dp/B01BV1XB2K/ref=sr_1_20?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1468748832&sr=1-20&keywords=monitor

u/yea_damnit · 2 pointsr/AskBattlestations

Hey op, I do this with my work laptop and personal desktop. Basically my setup consists of a USB switch (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BD8I2OY/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1482790698&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=usb+kvm+switch+2+port&dpPl=1&dpID=31F-KcWzc7L&ref=plSrch) for my keyboard and mouse with are both wireless. For my monitors I have multiple ports on them and switch the input on them. I didn't go the switch route on them because I have 3 monitors with just the middle one being shared. The other two are dedicated to each machine and I just switch the middle input when needed. Did it this way so I can still play/see the other machine and switch the middle wen needed.

There is a USB/monitor switch that I debated on for around the same price as the one I linked but I think it's only two monitors.

Thats the one I have. I have 3 23" acer monitors on it and it works great.

The setup and adjustments are a bit of a pain, but it was way cheaper than any other option i could find.

If I'm on a budget again when I buy another, I wont hesitate to purchase again. If I have more $$ to spend, I might look elsewhere.

u/DeanMac · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

Ive had this for a while now https://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-1920x1080-144Hz-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B00B2HH7G0

My second monitor is not 144hz and I dont notice a difference when just browing the web and what not. But Ive never played a game across them at the same time which I also would not recommend with just 2 monitors, 3 seems like it would be fine but only if they had the same refresh rate.

u/ccobb123 · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

I would do something like this. Then I would buy this and take it off the pole and put it on the the first link.
