I couldn't find any reference to this being from Ikea, but I did find a couple that look super similar if not the same on amazon.

I wanted something like this. I got that one 2 days ago, and it was fantastic, huge 6 inch tall and very comfy, but it was almost 2 inches too wide for the daybed.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried something like that and can confirm it fits properly.

Sort of but not really. For now I removed the monitor shelf and just have the monitor sitting on the main desk piece. It’s a minor improvement.

I did find a flush mount wall mount arm that I think I could drill and bolt into the main Freddie arms on each side to hold the 20”-24” monitors rotated sideways but haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet.

It extends far enough it’d be fine for the side monitors on either side I think but wouldn’t work for the middle main one.

There's one on Amazon, but as you can see there is a steep surcharge (it's not sold by either Amazon or Ikea, just to clarify)
Ikea Table mirror, black 226.291429.3038 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072HTJSFP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_uglQzbJ9594PE

If you want something a bit similar I've found this from Urban Outfitters

The hanging bags are easier:

It's a pretty solid metal bed. I don't own it, but worked in the beds area for about a year 80% of the time. Two tips I'll give you, for any metal bed in general, pick up a roll of teflon tape (I use this for brewing purposes as well https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003D7K8E0/). Apply to any metal on metal connection. It seals better, and reduces noise. After assembling, and using the bed for a few weeks, go back and tighten all the screws again.

So I ended up doing this; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078WNLJVJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_lqZ8BbYMXBSAR

Which I must say is working great so far since the mount base is very flat so I can still rest the keyboard on it without really noticing a height difference

I currently have 2 24 inch monitors but the mount will support a total weight of 17 lbs

something like this is kinda what i was thinking of. i used these bumpers on all my cabinet doors and they’re really nice

Yes, the new one has smaller holes.

The older peg looks like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/SHELF-SUPPORT-STUDS-PLUG-SUKI/dp/B007T4ZQEK/ref=pd_bxgy_201_img_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=06Y71XTZTJV16JQB834Y

The shelves also sit at slightly different heights.

The Zoom H1 is an awesome piece of gear. We tie it to our sound board (via a dual XLR->6.35mm TRS adapter) and record concerts with it. Its user interface is a little quirky but once you're used to it, you can even use it as a rudimentary dynamics processor.

Looks, like it rubbed on something in the packaging.... this might be your most inexpensive solution: https://www.amazon.com/Remington-Fuzz-Away-Fabric-Shaver-RTFS-2/dp/B0034BV6KA

u/trevorhalligan · 1 pointr/IKEA

these are really close, but they have that extra support piece, and these shelves fit fairly tight, and i have no idea about sizing.

The standard for leather care (the only cleaner & conditioner I've ever seen stocked at leather supply stores) is Lexol.

/u/Romeo-X you rock!! I know the price is absurd. But you got me looking in the right spots. For anyone else in need they seem to be sold on amazon.com and ship to Canada: https://www.amazon.com/Ikea-Capita-Stainless-Steel-Legs/dp/B00DGRYI48

Thanks a million random redditor!

> 2- the NYFORS standing lamp (with the grey-ish shade) and the pull rope is not dimmable, so I am not sure where you got that. You use the pull rope to switch it on and off. The thing that tends to break the quickest is the rope (as expected), aside from that I have not heard of any problems.

I got confused with another lamp I saw on amazon which has a dimmer switch. I was going to edit the post but I figured no one knew the answers so I didn't bother. I saw complaints about Nyfors "dimmer switch" on amazon.

Maybe Nyfors used to have a dimmer? These reviews were mostly from 2015. Either way, sounds like I can use a switch-controlled outlet to avoid breaking the pull rope. Thanks for answering!

It doesn't have to be the IKEA model, maybe a generic pressure mounted pole? You could use an exercise dance pole or a long shower rod like this. The dance pole is made to support the weight of a small human so around 130lb, and you would need two.

So I discovered the studs in our apartment are 48" apart and appear to be steel. Steel studs are hollow and the metal is pretty thin, so I would rather not drill a simple screw in to them. I could drill a 1/2" hole and insert a toggle, but I would need to drill dead center in to the metal studs which are only 1 1/2" across, so that is quite risky.

I am strongly considering using these toggles in the drywall the entire way across. Also since both end units will essentially sit flush on top of the towers, the towers should absorb some of the load. The middle unit is pretty light so I'm not overly concerned about that.

What do you think?
