I have the Alex drawers with the desk on top. I find that the little support things didn't really prevent my desk from sliding. They actually moved from where I stuck them. I use shelf liners as a secondary grip to keep things in place. Not sure if that helps.

Something like this:

I think a lot of value goes into how it's built. I have a cheapo brimnes and I never hear a peep out of it. Sometimes the Ikea people aren't the best at putting their own furniture together. I've been in the show room and I've spotted things that were assembled incorrectly.

Maybe find the source of the noise and brace it with something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00004Z0R1 just make sure to drill holes for the screws before driving them into the wood.

I like our Panasonic microwave with Inverter Technology, and they do sell a trim kit, but the trim kits are $$$ and are 27" wide.

There are 3rd party trim makers - no idea what price through http://www.microtrim.com/microwaves.htm or https://www.trimkitsusa.com (yikes! they want $349.95 for a trim kit for my microwave)

Does it have to be builtin?

Hmm the more I look at it I'm probably better off returning all these and getting something like this.

The power converter is gonna be tough to hide behind the shelves.

I put a piece of shelf liner underneath, the rubber stuff that Ikea sells, it seems to work okay, before that I had rubber dots that were stuck on with adhesive, but they just moved around with the tops. I have considered getting a couple brackets and screwing it to the tables and the drawers

Someone linked this elsewhere for an entirely different topic and it reminded me of this convo. Would look nice with cushions in front of it, very couchlike.

I have no seen one but you can always add that capability to any lamp that has a metal frame using something like this:

We just installed an ikea kitchen and found their under-cabinet lighting options to be surprisingly pricey. My husband found these on amazon.

The price is right, the reviews are good. Haven’t put them in yet yet but plan to in the coming weeks...

There are, like, a million Bluetooth speakers under 13“. What's your budget? Here's a really expensive one: Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker II (Carbon) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WK47VEW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_euSAxb8FDP811

Would something like this work?

I'll be honest with you, the 365+ wok is nothing special. All teflon coated woks perform exactly the same, so there really isn't any benefit to choosing one ikea wok over another. The teflon coating eventually wears off, and then you'll have to buy a new wok anyway, so my suggestion would be to just get an actual carbon steel wok and learn to season it properly. When properly seasoned, carbon steel woks last forever.

I've been using this https://www.amazon.com/Joyce-Chen-22-0060-Uncoated-14-inch/dp/B0001VQIP4/ref=sr_1_23?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1491957309&sr=1-23&keywords=wok

for almost 8 years now.

It’s not IKEA like you had, but this one is fairly similar if you can’t find it there:

MyGift 6 Inch White Ceramic Wall Mounted, Hanging or Freestanding Decorative Flower Planter Vase Holder Display https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AKRDD3I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KAqmDbHVNFDNA

Another option would be not using shelves in part of the space and attaching shoe pockets to the inside(you may have to cut it to fit).

Another thing to consider is ventilation. The only opening in the unit are two small holes at the top to secure it to the wall. You're gonna want some air freshener/deodorizer or let the shoes you wear day to day air out for a bit before getting stored.

It's not that the ikea slats are horrible, its that most of them ( I believe all of them now) are bowed flexible. Problem with an expensive mattress, when you lay down, these slats start to flex downward which can cause wear or sagging in the expensive mattress. You should place it on a stable non flexible slat system, foundation, box spring etc. I am not a fan of box springs because they say that it reduces air flow to the mattress from underneath and can cause mold issues over time. I have an Ikea HEMNES bed and am giving this a try https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074TN94VV/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I read through the comments before ordering that some customers had success using it on a the Ikea Malm bed. No comments on the Hemnes, but I am going to give it a shot.
