If you’re going to hang it, your best bet is it build an outlet into the wall where you will mount the tv. This way you don’t have to use an extension cord and you can hide the wires behind the wall. It’s pretty easy to do yourself. If you have the ability to mount the tv, then you are handy enough to do this as well. You can get a kit that has everything that you need like this:

DataComm Electronics 50-6623-WH-KIT Flat Panel TV Cable Organizer Kit with Power Solution https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JJ57CR6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_hDJVDbXNBNRN3

If you’re gonna mount it and not use that kit, I don’t know if the cord will be long enough without an extension cord (depending on how high you mount it).

Edit: it doesn’t have everything that you need. You’ll need some tools to go with that like a dry wall saw etc.

I don't have a pic of my setup but it looks similar to this. I like it when watching SDR content, but when I'm watching HDR I'll unplug the light strip. It helps illuminate the room when we are hanging out, but doesn't produce any strong points of glare because the light is behind the TV

I'm using a usb LED light strip I got on amazon. I don't remember the specific one I have, but something like this would do. If you don't want the light splashing around the screen and just want an indicator light you could get something like this that has a tiny amount of LEDs on it and get a USB extension cable and route it to wherever you would like just as a simple indicator light.

Thanks for the response, ended up finding it refurbished for $3996 on Amazon but for the life of me its not letting me share it from the app and I'm mobile. Bought the $99 3-year warranty (plus it's covered for the first 90 days by Amazon anyway) figuring I'm still coming out almost a rack cheaper.

Search Amazon for "LG OLED77C9PUB C9 Series 77" 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED TV (2019) (Renewed)", it says there are currently four left in stock at that price. There was another not-licensed-by-LG group that was selling one for $3600 but their specs were weird and their response to my questions about it were lame so I paid extra for the assurance of dealing with an established group + warranty. Best of luck!

Edit: Found it

Honestly. Get a harmony hub anyway. I freaking love my Harmony Ultimate. If you have multiple devices you can use it to switch between all of them with ease. I also have a receiver, so switching manually before was just a hassle... Like 4 different remotes driving me nuts. Now I use one.

Using an app called IFTTT allows you to control Harmony using Google Home or Google Assistant. I use my PixelXL because I'm waiting on the nVidia Spot.

One downside to Harmony is you lose the "magic mouse" or whatever LG calls the pointer. I am not using LG's remote at all. It's not too bad because all I need to use the TV's interface for is switching Picture Mode to Game for certain games.

I say, "Okay Google, turn on the XBox." which I typed myself, so you can make it whatever... and my TV turns on, the receiver switches to the right input as does the TV. The TV turns on. And I'm good to go. You can also type out a response that Google says. When I do it my response is, "Okay... I prefer the PC, but hey... nobody is perfect."

With punctuation, Google Assistant delivers it with the right amount of sass. It's great!

There's a setting somewhere in the network menu you can flip off that gives dramatically better wifi performance. I forgot what it's called and I'm not with my TV at the moment, but it's some toggle for something that you'd look at and say "sure I'll leave that on" even though it seems useless, because it looks harmless. Flip that one off.

But the smarter thing to do is buy a wifi repeater and hardwire the TV, plus anything else you have in the vicinity. Mine hardwires my tv, receiver, and PS4, and also increases the signal strength of the wifi for all nearby units, so it's really worth it. This is the one I use.

1 - I'd use the E6 as SDR work monitor and the B8 for everything else including games/video SDR & HDR.

Switch the OS to dark mode, auto hide the taskbar, no wallpaper just black background, set an aggressive screensaver time for inactivity, choose one like ribbons which is mostly black with random animated streaks. This should help curtail any burn in but it is still a risk, I would prefer to risk the E6 rather than the B8 but thats just me.

2 - Purchase Ultramon which greatly enhances the multi-monitor features of Windows, GPU drivers also contain some limited multi-display features for stretching apps across screens at least AMD did, but its been a while since I last looked. Use MPC-BE as windows media player, it is much more tailored for windows than VLC is, look under options-> video-> fullscreen for some monitor controls.

3 - All of the consoles can use just one input on the B8 with game mode, purchase a 5 port 4K 60hz HDR switch like this, that switch also supports Dolby Vision. Be sure on PS4 to manually set the RGB range to low, it wrongly sends the high mode to LG TV's.

The X700 BD player and AppleTV can also share one input use cinema or ISF expert preset along with the same type switch as the above, you can buy them in 3 port versions too, you could also add the PVR to this switch too or leave it separate if cinema preset is not optimal for it.

That leaves the PC to one dedicated input with PC mode enabled on it's HDMI input and the last remaining input is free or use it with PVR.

I own the disk. Probably the best way. Removed all my destiny burn in after 48 hours straight. Unstuck a pixel on a monitor.

Things a godsend.

You could surely download it.

I got this for my 65" C8 & also my 55" Sony. Works great for both, easy to install and seems pretty sturdy. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VMJEK2C/

It seems like this would be the perfect solution. Should fit the dimensions of the base in its entirety. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H8N774Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_wmV0DbF0C9MJZ

This ones cheap and works fantastic in my opinion.

My C9 isn’t wall mounted but I’ve used it on two prior TV’s and it was great.

Here's a graph of Amazon's price trends for the 2018 65" C8, which tends to be about $200-300 more than the SlickDeal threads.

Amazon Price Trend 65" C8: https://camelcamelcamel.com/LG-Electronics-OLED65C8P-65-Inch-Ultra/product/B079V3J3Y9?active=amazon&context=search

It launched at $3500 in April dropped to $2400 by November, before going back up. Between December and March, there wasn't any big price drops. The last drop was on March 30th for $2007 to clear out the old models, as they started shipping out the new 2019 C9 models that same day.
