It seems like we heaped stuff on them because it's easier to see the faults in something you're familiar with.
There's also a relatively recent cultural tendency (around Turnbull's time, iirc - good book btw) to blame western influence on issues. While that can be true and accurate, and is in many cases, it doesn't mean it's always the case and isn't necessarily to the massive degree people will attribute it to. It's the opposite of the blame the victim mentality, really.
I'm fairly certain that you already know that change isn't necessarily negative or positive, just neutral. Cultures don't change entirely from being influenced by another one - syncretism occurs, the blending of things, so many of the problems mentioned above were already there, just differently expressed in a context you're unfamiliar with. The cultural influence merged with those aspects and the result was them expressed in a form you recognize as culturally familiar, making it easy to attribute it to western culture as that's what you know. Much of the stuff you see now chains back centuries or more and this is just the latest step.
> (men are studs and awesome, women are sluts and should be ashamed)
That's a cultural perception of sex, not a result of views on sexuality. Some cultures have had the opposite seen as the norm, where a woman having lovers was seen as a right and a status symbol and the man being untrustworthy if he was with too many women.
Try razercortex and close all programs in your background. I play this game on both laptop and desktop and get better fps on laptop :'D.

don't play on a carpet like surface you laptop might need fresh/cool air. Clean the laptop parts so that it might pull enough air.
buying a laptoop cooler stand (I have one and I also always check/monitor temperatures with MSI afterburner on my laptop which warks fine) might help:
https://www.amazon.com/HAVIT-HV-F2056-Laptop-Cooler-Cooling/dp/B00NNMB3KS/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1519582198&sr=1-3&keywords=laptop+cooler&dpID=51cBGis%252BOdL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
(2)
buy and add more ram to your system or use ccleaner (free version is enough to clean your RAM) for more free ram.
(3)
Play with your settings but at least turn down shadows.
(4)
Buy better hardware which I don't recommend because its costly right now due to high GPU prices and ram prices (save money by using unactivated windows 10 and everything thats > or = i5 or ryzen 3 paired with gtx 1050/gtx 750ti/ rx 460/560 + 8 gb ram will work just fine)
> Edit: Will a mechanical keyboard provide an actual advantage besides feeling better?
Yes. Because of the increased travel distance and more uniform feel, you will be more confident that your key presses actually registered. Like turning on your shield for example, how many times have you not been sure whether you turned it on or not?
The good ones also have N-key rollover, which means that you can press every key on the keyboard at the same time, and they will all register. I know that sounds like overkill (it is), but it means that there is a 0% chance of key presses not being registered (I can't sprinting and redeploy on my current keyboard).
As for which switch to choose, pick up this:
http://www.amazon.com/Max-Keyboard-Keycap-Cherry-Sampler/dp/B00E71W4O8
You have 30 days to return it to Amazon, which should be more than enough time.
I think your joking, but that would be pretty fucking cool looking. Of course you could go with the shitter solution and wrap it :)> http://www.amazon.com/Carbon-Fiber-Vinyl-Bubble-Free-Film/dp/B008B9W0IC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415025676&sr=8-1&keywords=carbon+fiber+vinyl+wrap
Ok, so given you have a TV that can decode the signal, which is best? Because my TV can't seem to get a channel I'm supposed to get, I got something like this (right brand, can't remember which model): https://www.amazon.com/Mediasonic-HomeWorx-Converter-Recording-HW-150PVR/dp/B00I2ZBD1U and it doesn't pick up the channel either. So I'm left thinking my indoor TV antenna is failing me. I've positioned it all around too, no luck, although some places and orientations are clearly better at receiving the channels I do get than others.
That is your opinion, and it isn't wrong just because it differs from mine. However, my opinion is based on the developer of the game supporting an option for players to use. 3rd party mods have been a part of major MMOs for a long time, and the devs either turn a blind eye to them or outright say they support them.
In this case PS2 has a crosshair overlay that is completely allowed by the developers. In your opinion, would using a Razer Naga be exploiting an advantage someone without a Naga doesn't have? I use a mouse similar to this one, and I don't know how I would play if I didn't have the ability to select my weapons specifically from my mouse, without having to use my scroll wheel in a 1v1..
Other people who didn't get a similar mouse don't have that option, so they are forced to try and press the 2 on their number row while strafing in a 1v1. How about knifing? My mouse has a button just to the left of my left click. I have that mapped to quick knife. Is this an unfair advantage over someone who has to press their mouse wheel in?
There are a lot of things that can be pointed to as advantageous, but until they give a true, unfair advantage such as an aimbot, ESP hack, or hitbox manipulation, I don't see it becoming a priority to fix because there is already something that does it better.
3rd party programs step in where the developer can't or won't. DBG obviously can implement this change, but so far they haven't, and I am thinking it is because Recursion already does overlays.
In no particular order:
Most recently, I read the Quadrail series. It was pretty good. It was kind of like Zahn took The Icarus Hunt and expanded it into a full series, rather than a one-off. I think that The Icarus Hunt was better, though.
My old Razer went flaky on me, so I had to look for something new. Being as this was in a moment of tight finances, I looked for something affordable, with good features, and good reviews. I found this.
UtechSmart Jupiter High Precision Gaming Mouse with 6 Programmable Buttons, 2 stored profiles for PC, Macro Button Setting Available
It's lightweight, and has three thumb buttons that fit quite well. It also includes weights, so you can make it the proper weight for you.
> ROG 2k ASUS 30 inch
Can't find anything on their site about it. Closest was: https://www.amazon.ca/ASUS-PA329Q-Monitor-DisplayPort-Speakers/dp/B01F6D1ITM
I've just been holding off on upgrading for quite a while (including weathering some rather prominent display issues), simply because I like the extra screen space of a 30" 16:10. I know in my heart I should pick up https://www.amazon.ca/ASUS-PG279Q-2560X1440-DisplayPort-Monitor/dp/B017EVR2VM , just for the refresh rate ... but... it's so small.
Did you ever try the Zowie FK series?? I've heard good things, might fit the bill if you want to go back to cross-dominant play.
I play on a 4 years old Asus g73 the best buy model that was sold 1300$
I get 40-50 fps outside fights down to 15 fps in the bigger fights with medium to high settings and 80% rendering.
I've seen MSI laptops on amazon that run better graphic card and proc than mine for less than 1000$. Asus still makes cheap gaming laptop.
My point being if you pay 3000$ it is only because you want to overpay for the brand.
Asus g75 same proc, same ssd, better card (770m) and twice the ram : 1880$
I have this mouse at work, and it's great for that, really comfortable. But no way would I use it for gaming. There are a lot cheaper mice that does a better job at that. For PS2 I specifically bought the Logitech G700. It doesn't look flashy but it's the best damn gaming mouse I have ever had. I used to use a Razr Imperator, but got the G700 because of the extra thumb buttons which arereally uselful for aircraft maneuvering and comms in PS2.
You need a bigger mouse mat.
Okay, maybe not :P. How nice is the razer mouse mat you're using? Do crumbs/dust wipe off easily? The perixx one I'm using is linked above and it's great except I need to wipe dust off it quite often.
Something that came up a few weeks ago which caused some issues was my DNS settings.
Random video of many on how to do this (skip to 2 minutes or so) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaPiPjNNO8g
And what you will want to do is change the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and then 8.8.4.4.
This is Google's DNS, it's regarded as one of the best as it has worldwide coverage and there is no restrictions in place when browsing.
You will want to change this as most ISP's default DNS are pretty bad.
As said above it solved another ping issue that popped up. Give that a try and if it fails I recommend taking a look at "Ethernet powerline adapters" www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00P7XV004?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
That is from .uk but if you look for similar options it will probably solve 100% of your problems. Got mine a few days ago and the difference is great. eg I now understand why the NC max is op.
I can't remember where it was I saw it (some game I think) but the idea is you ( as a citizen solider essentially) can duct-tape 2 mags together much easier than machining a new one. From that point of view it'd be better for NC (with their "second-hand" armaments), but from an "empire trait" view more dakka is TR's realm.
edit: oh yea, I remember where I first saw it. My college ran a Humans vs. Zombies game every quarter - one of the players fashioned one for his nerf gun. Was less prone to jamming (and was cheaper) than the drum attachments
edit2: also, Nerf made one too http://www.amazon.com/Nerf-N-Strike-Flip-Clip-Refill/dp/B003LAB9PG/ref=sr_1_3?s=toys-and-games&srs=2597258011&ie=UTF8&qid=1409099218&sr=1-3&keywords=nerf+gun+clips
Hey chief! Congrats in advance on your forthcoming upgrade :D . If you've been managing with an FX 4350 then you'll be very happy with any new processor, even a second-hand CPU like an Intel 6700K or maybe a new Ryzen 5 2600. The tricky part is buying a motherboard & DDR4 RAM while keeping your budget at $400 :( .
That said, for a reflex-intensive game like Planetside 2 I strongly recommend playing on a conventional monitor if feasible. The average LCD TV has much higher input lag than even your run-of-the-mill office LCD monitor.
> TV lag: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/inputs/input-lag
vs
> Monitor lag: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tests/inputs/input-lag
As you can see, the average TV lag spans well into the 25-35ms range while most monitors stay under 10.
Off the shelf.

It's basically this with slightly better ram and was a little cheaper. This time next month though a similar system should be considerably cheaper.
