Yea. Sponges kinda suck.

I also use these after I put in the softcup:
VH Suppositories

It helps prevent any kind of smell and also works as a lubricant that feels natural. Clients always think I'm really "excited" to see them but It's just these little lifesavers!

Start with Playing the Whore, then start with Melrose Gira Grant's research papers and citations thereof and therein.

Also, don't forget 1960's Gloria Steinem!

Here's what I recommend:

  1. Don't give him any more money.
  2. Move out immediately. If you don't have the money to afford a new place, and you live in the US, call 211 and ask for assistance. They will be able to connect you to organizations in your community that can provide temporary housing.
  3. Cut off all contact with him--no phone, no email, nothing. Change your number, make your FB private, etc. If necessary, move to a different city.
  4. Continue working at the parlor until you've saved up enough money to rent your own place, buy a car, and have enough in savings to look for another job.
  5. Read the book Too Good to Leave, Too Bad to Stay by Mira Kirshenbaum.

You might want to take a look at Sex at the Margins for an alternative perspective, and consider thinking critically about the motives of people who are "speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves". Sex of the Margins does a really good job of presenting the complexity of the subject, and the harm of thinking of a group of people as being simply "victims".

It’s not really a graphic novel but this is a zine of the authors (an erotic laborer herself) examinations of the binary nature of definitions in sex work and how sex work isn’t a “single issue”, and targets the fact that social conditions that contextualize sex work have to be looked at, the effects of poverty and how certain ideologies criminalize and penalize those affected by poverty, which often directly affect sex workers. It’s worth a read and it is sex work centric and friendly.

This actually from Amazon! It was definitely a gamble, especially since I'm not skinny and their size reviews said they ran small. I usually wear a 2X in dresses an I had to get the 5X but it fits! Hurts my neck like hell though cuz all the boob weight is on the halter.

Anyway here's the link.
