I know you said you're looking to be under $50, but this is the one I've been using and it's fantastic.

I have the Trius One Step and love it. I know I know it's slightly above your threshold but Cabela's will run sales and you may get it cheaper.

I can't imagine having a fun day going through a box of shells with a typical thrower operating it myself. This make it easier because you step to load the spring and throw. The only thing is you have to place the clay in the arm of course.

Found this on Amazon.

Hogue makes some good stuff.

I found it on amazon. It's not bad, pretty easy to assemble. The wooden retaining bar was clunky and I just didn't install it, but otherwise I like it.

I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/Stack-TC-16-GB-K-DS-Tactical-Security-Cabinet/dp/B00IT4YIWU/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1493693487&sr=1-1&keywords=stack+on+tactical+gun+cabinet

If the padding is anything like the one in mine, it wont be an issue. I've gone months without so much as opening the cabinet and I've yet to find a spot of rust on any of my firearms. The issue with foam is when it is physically touching the metal on the gun, so if you have them set upright (like a person would typically do with a storage cabinet) then it only comes into contact with the butt of the rifle stock.

Alternatively. The padding is a cheap insert that you can just pull out of the bottom of the case, if you so desire.

And the barrel rests are made out of plastic, assuming they're the same ones as in my cabinet. If you watch the video, they appear to be the same barrel rests. I think it's their own patented design, so they use the same rests in all of their cabinets.

Hope I helped.

A few Safariland 4 shell carriers and you should be good for the quick reloads

On the upper end of that range, I'd go with the 3M peltor tactical 100s. Better electronics and build quality

Ooh good call. [Howard Leight Impact Sports] (http://www.amazon.com/Howard-Leight-Impact-Electric-Earmuff/dp/B001T7QJ9O) are right around the $35 mark when on sale.

I picked up [one of these] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004691VNG/ref=oh_details_o04_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I like that it has a strap and buckle to secure the gun, and it's length adjustable in case you want to use it with something other than an 18" barrel shotgun.

In case anyone else is looking, the MTM box is on sale right now on Amazon for 35$ and change. Sold!

That's similar to what I'm looking for, but I'm wanting/needing a rear sight as well. I had these but the front sight had this crazy vent rib adapter, and none of them fit.

u/RicoGrande · 1 pointr/Shotguns

Have something similar. It's very solid and takes most 1"diameter flashlights.

u/nrcoyote · 1 pointr/Shotguns

Without a set of rear sights it'll be about as imprecise as any other fiber insert. I would try something like this, it should be marginally better than 'over-the-barrel' plastic clamps.

EDIT: I might be an idiot and you're talking about full RS mossberg barrel?

I’d have to measure it but it’s this one it’s raised so you can still see your bead through it so it’s kinda like a ghost ring

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000C53F6?ref_=ams_ad_dp_asin_1i own one of these, perfect for shooting alone and there is no weight on the spring during reset.

Wouldn't it be easier to get one of the foot operated traps?
