- ALL FASTENERS INCLUDED: Screws are 18-8 Stainless Steel. Rubber fasteners are automotive grade.
- HARSH WINTERS: Most mounting kits come with zinc coated screws sometimes called galvanized screws. Going off his comment, i'd recommend this sunshade. I have it and it's amazing. Easy to put in and fits the front perfectly. But I also have my windshield tinted to like 50 lmao.

It's the model to get if you DO NOT have the Subaru Eyesight.
Edit: If you prefer not to go through Amazon.

Here's an amazon link :) - https://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-Excelon-DMX905S-Multimedia-Receiver/dp/B07BSZNKC2/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3SNP6M8JQ4NMU&keywords=kenwood+excelon+dmx905s&qid=1556398444&s=gateway&sprefix=kenwood+excelon+dmx%2Caps%2C214&sr=8-1
Idk why the amazon reviews aren't the best, but it's an amazing headunit! No delay, no lag, spotify, apple car play... you name it! Super clean layout, I love it :)
So Headunit installed, I ended up forgetting a adapter, and my friend just hardwired everything in, just took a bit longer to install. Head unit runs great, Also ran into a couple hiccups while installing. so #1 if you intend to get the scosche bezel you might have a 50/50 change of having it work. I picked up this a scosche aftermarket bezel that apparently doesnt fit. :(
On Scosche's website its lableled as compatible with the 2015 wrx, but its kinda not. The top mounting for the upper vents is different with the 2015 wrx. Works with 2015 WRX only if you have the 2016 updated upper vent. so watch out for that. The headunit itself is great and snappy, I still need to install my amp and subwoofer, but bluetooth has significantly better connection the the stock headunit. It doesn't disconnect or lag at all, nor does it have sudden stop. Steering controls were retained using the metra aswc-1. So far so good with the headunit, still gotta finetune it to my liking ;)

There are people saying they can use this to reprogram the tpms on the WRX.
https://www.amazon.com/ATEQ-QuickSet-TPMS-Reset-Tool/dp/B008SCWXN4
As for tires. It kind of depends on what you want. I have read reviews where people felt dedicated winters like Blizzak provided too much grip. That they wanted to be able to slide the car a bit more. Well that is personal preference. I know in my A4 many years ago I really liked my Pilot Sport A/S. I think that was the tire. They did really well year round so I would run them. I went from that to a Jetta TDI and with fwd I used a set of Michelin X Ice and they were pretty good. Night and day different than any all season I had on the car. I am also debating on what to do with my WRX this winter.
Edit: some more info on the Area
http://www.ateqtpm.com/quickset/
I got a 2018 relocation non brand name it was labeled for wrx and be but some wrx complained about it sticking out too much which is why it probably fit my 18 okay. Haha.
I too would be interested in a pic or two of how it's installed light bar used and cost. Nothing crazy detailed just curious
Edit. Looked at my Amazon account this is the one it says I ordered
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01KYOHD1K/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A3H3VFI98ZH1GY&psc=1
If you get this make sure to reference the diagram on the product page
Yes. I have a pioneer w4400nex in my 2018 wrx base model. Great headunit with wireless CarPlay. It’s relatively plug and play with a harness from autoharnesshouse. Here are all the links:
AutoHarnessHouse Aftermarket... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GD8627K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Direct wire harness for Pioneer... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078GBDRVX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Maestro ADS-MSW Universal Analog Steering Wheel Interface https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J4W10XG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Jg22Db6PFF6R1
Need this to connect FM radio to new Headunit:
Aftermarket Radio Antenna Adapter by Vehicle Aerial Stereo Converter Cable, DIN (Motorola Type) to Antenna Terminal https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QNL9QQ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_7l22DbVWFF1K2
Need this if you want to retain factory USB port:
Metra Electronics AX-SUBUSB Multicolored Subaru 2011 & Up 4-Pin USB Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JYTLW14/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_do22DbN1SNNSH
This is the dash kit to make the headunit fit properly:
https://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SU2031B/Scosche-SU2031B-Dash-Kit-Gloss-Black.html
Those are all the harnesses/wires you’ll need to make it plug and play. The USB adapter might not work if your car has 2 USB ports in the center console. This shouldn’t be a problem anyways since CarPlay is wireless. The USB ports will still charge your phone regardless. If you have the base wrx, it’ll be fine. On YouTube there are plenty of install vids if you ever feel confused.
Edit: the guy from autoharnesshouse (Brian) is also very friendly if you have any questions about the harness, just email him.
I used Goo Gone because it's gentle and I didn't want to risk stripping the clear coat or anything. Soaked it real good, waited 30 seconds or so and used one of THESE with a flat tip as a scraper. There were some very fine scratches afterwards. I could only see them with a flashlight and they came out easily with maguiers scratchx 2.0.
Since yours is newer the adhesive will probably come off easier than mine did.
It doesn't look deep enough that you need to fill the gouges in.
I would hit it with probably 750 and up grit sand paper to smooth it down and give the paint something to stick to. Then use some paint to touch it up. I used the paint from the following link and am impressed with how well it matches the stock paint.
https://quiktouch.com/eng/products?car-alloy-wheel&type=62

After that Mask the tire and emblem off and give it a few coats of clear coat. I used duplicolor clear coat.

If the gouges are deeper than they look and you want to fill them in, I would recommend metal reinforced bondo:
https://www.amazon.com/Bondo-90451-Metal-Reinforced-Filler/dp/B010AGXBUO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541192131&sr=8-1&keywords=metallic+bondo

I did all of this to one of my wheels because I didn't want to pay for someone else to do it, and I have to get withing 1 foot to be able to tell which wheel I did. And I can only tell because I didn't wait long enough between coats of color paint.
I love those cup holders and have the same ones. Definitely worth getting! Here is the link to those if anyone is interested:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MZ9TCYP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I608BJ8/
They have a few varieties of mounts.
For the most part once I tighten it it stays. Though slowly it will come loose. At some point I will probably take some epoxy or something along that line and just permanently fix it in the position on want it. Probably when I break it from tightening or it wears too much to tighten.
It is held on by 3m tape.
I found that to be a good place to keep it out of the sun heat/ fan heat. Spot also cools off ok from AC. Also keeps my phone from blinding me when driving at night.
BIGGEST thing I like about that spot is that I don't have to stretch/reach like if it was up above the radio.
I also find that spot to be good because I can quickly steady my hand on shifter(people going to complain about that)/ find my position so I can quickly request new playlist or try and tap the voice command button if for some reason its not working by voice.

EDIT!:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07475C1VT/
Using a slim case like this that has a depression in it so I don't actually have to stick the metal plate for the magnetic part to my phone or a case.
Pretty sure it's the MR style front lip that Ikon motorsports made. I wasn't aware they stopped making them, I got mine two weeks ago for 120 bucks. Super easy install, pop clips + 6 self tapping screws.

That one looks great, thanks for sharing!
There is an adapter kit that will fit a US plate with the JDM holes. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EKVUJC8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Just got this for my wife's Forester, works great and looks good.
I have this bracket, and it works great.
License Plate Adapter Kit for Subaru https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EKVUJC8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_2tOOd8X76jxQJ
Will definitely need to fold down the back seats to fit 4 tires.
Yes, get a kit from Amazon (KINGLAKE Auto Door Clip Panel Trim Removal Tool Kits for Car Dash Radio Audio Installer Pry Tool 4Pcs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HNMLQAG?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf) or wrap a flat head screw driver with electrical tape. Start from the front clip on the left and work you way towards the back. The right side also has a front clip near the windshield and you have to work your way from back to front.
Also- get 3M clear auto tape to put under the mount feet(3M Clear Scotchgard Paint Protector Vinyl Wrap .5" Wide Tape Roll (.5" x 48") https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072KF647X?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf) to prevent scratching the paint.
I want to say I used a 3/8”bit to drill through the roof gutters. Bought new bits so they were very sharp.
You can do the swap without touching the TPMS but then you have to deal with the TPMS warning light (and the system not working).
I no longer have my 2016 WRX but IMO spending a few hundred to get rid of the warning light and have a functional TPMS system during the colder months was well worth it.
Here was my setup:
Stock tires with stock TPMS
New winter wheels with new set of TPMS
Tool to program the ECU with the winter/summer TPMS codes: https://www.amazon.com/ATEQ-QuickSet-TPMS-Reset-Tool/dp/B008SCWXN4
Tool to "wakeup" the sensors (they go to sleep after sometime being inactive): https://www.tirerack.com/tpms/detail.jsp?ID=169&cat=TPMS+Tool
TPMS sensors: Winter tire setup and TPMS bought form Tire Rack.
Steps:
1.) Use the first tool and its software to upload the winter TPMS codes (they were provided to me by tire rack at my request) and assign them to the winter button. Don't forget to "read" and store your summer sensors to the tool/software and summer button. If my memory serves me correctly, the tool pulls the TPMS codes currently in your car if you need to.
2.) Change your tires, plug in the tool to your obd-ii port and press the winter button
3) Use the trigger tool to wake up your winter tire sensors.
The process is just as easy for the winter to summer wheel changeout. Once the codes are in the tool it's just a matter of changing your tires and reprogramming the ECU.
I hope this helps!
Backs are easier than fronts... but make sure you have something like this to screw in the backs.
The part the instructions didn’t help:
After I figured out how the S clips go on in the most illogical way, everything else is easy... also, don’t forget the spacers in the front!

I also got the Subispeed harnesses, but I didn't use them because I deleted the stock turn signal bulb.

And I think that's it. Be sure to wear nitrile gloves too to avoid finger prints.

Also take your time. Don't paint the high beam housing unless you have another plan for those like a second projector.

Any other questions or pictures let me know.

(Side note, this is probably not done for me and I'll probably post more if I do more with these. Thinking about changing the bumper cover holes where the turn signals were for instance)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GD8627K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 this is the harness i used, has the reverse 6v signal already to go. all you need us usb retention https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DJ4KVQ6/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and lastly the antenna harness https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VYWSES/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

the autoharnesshouse harness makes it easy to use the maestro by the way. hope this helped. i have a 2017 wrx by the way so i dont know if there is a difference with 2015 and the new 2018+s
Im using:

Lower resolution (1080p) cameras typically get better night vision, but you cant beat 4k in day time. The power magic box is also quite nice for recording when parked. If you set it to 12v cutoff, I tend to get about 10-12 hours of recording until it powers down.
My dealer told me that I don't want them to drill into the bumper when I picked it up. Ended up picking up a JDM adapter plate on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EKVUJC8/
It's a simple plastic backing with expanding rubber fasteners. I stabilized it with some foam weatherstripping to ensure it doesn't wobble. I also got a recessed chrome frame from a local auto shop.
A center mounted plate looks better imho, asymmetry is not my thing.
Got bored earlier today and was looking for the same thing. Found these liners on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Custom-Console-Liner-Acessories-Subaru/dp/B07MZ9TCYP) and they are pretty cheap and get good reviews. I ordered the red to match the stitching so it'll add a little color to the interior.

I used the side without the cutout. No issues with vibration or cracking at all. I wish I had a before/after because it improved the setup drastically
Also. No bullshit, use a water based lube (astroglide) and some channel lock pliers to remove the old bushings/put on the new ones. So easy

Can you link to this tool please? I am interested in getting it too!

Do you mean using the Japanese standard holes for a license plate? If so I bought mine on amazon. It came with 2 screws and you place the rubber screw expander first then the screw and its super sturdy. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EKVUJC8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It can read the sensor IDs from the summer set, then input the IDs from the winter set (assuming you know them). I got my IDs from tire rack when I got a new set. There is also a tool available on amazon that can read TPMS IDs, more expensive.
It plugs into the car's OBD port to get the info and reset the IDs, and you need a windows PC/laptop to run the software. It was a little bit of a pain to get right the first time but I have it figured out now. Also, a laptop is nice so I don't have to run back and forth to the PC while trying to get these things working.
My local garage quoted me $100 to swap winter/summer and reset TPMS for one car. We have two cars, so that would be $400/year. My floor jack and TPMS sensor paid for themselves in one year.

If you don't know your sensor IDs you can use this to read them, but it's another expense. You could also go to a tire place.

This was a total impulse buy and I don't regret it. Covers the door cup holders too
Yes I got an adapter that allows me to use the center consoles USB port. Axxess AX-SUBUSB2 USB Retention... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DJ4KVQ6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I upgraded to a Pioneer Nav unit in the fall and I believe that this USB Retention Harness Is what I have to retain the USB in the armrest. Unfortunately, Android Auto didn't work between the Pioneer unit and the S7 for some reason but the USB does work.
Side note: The OEM backup camera also works with using the Axxess AX-SUB28SWC but I recall the wiring was changed in the 2017 so it wasn't color for color as original wiring diagrams went.
You will need something like this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000XYOUS6/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_1YiTCbAXN1QC8
fold seats + move passenger seat in the front up / lean it forward if you want it to be as smooth as possible without scuffing stuff
hood scoop i check every time I wash it for misc stuff but i've had 2 leaves get in there the past year... it's uncommon for the most part in my experience

The angle adjusts infinitely. The thing is absolutely rock solid.
Same, I've had the car for three weeks and have been debating it the whole time. I read that you can reuse it, and after opening it did seem fine enough to reuse but I didn't want to risk it, resealed it with Mirimoto Retrorubber Butyl sealant
Or a way cheaper version: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EKVUJC8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_dp_T2_ieztzbN8TC4N8
I used to like the off-center look but quickly wore off since everyone seems to have it nowadays. That and the fact that the rod connects directly to the frame making a fender bender potentially cost way more than it should.

It's to prevent obstructing air to the FMIC. WRX is top mount, so it's just for aesthetics, or to avoid drilling the bumper even though these exist.
