To answer your question @Helixcod:
Yes and no, you can play it anywhere you have an internet connection, but you will have to VPN (on a network outside of the one your PC resides on). They will be adding the feature to play it elsewhere soon though. You will also need a program like Pinnacle to play on the built-in controller, as well as a controller hooked up to your PC. The Pinnacle profile/addon can be found here This is actually something I made and it is still in testing, but I seemed to like the way it worked.

I have the Nvidia Shield and when I tested ESO on it, it ran pretty well. I have quite a few adapters/cables to allow me to not only play on the HDTV, but also wired internet. The Shield takes a mini HDMI to HDMI cable and to play with wired internet, you need an OTG (On the Go) adapter and a specific network adapter. I say specific because not all will work. The OTG adapter allows you to plug in USB cables into the Shield through the charging port (same port as most android phones). The network adapter allows you to plug an ethernet cable into the Shield for better connectivity. I also bought a hub so I could use all of these as well as an Xbox 360 controller.

The OTG adapter can be found here. The ethernet adapter can be found here.

Had a lot of fun with my Shield, but I bought a gaming laptop, so I won't be playing it too much anymore. Cool to have though. They will be adding remote gaming soon, so you can connect to your PC and game on an outside network.

I would say overall, it is very much worth this price. It's a cool device to play with and if you want a bit of freedom (but don't have a gaming laptop) go for it. It is considered an Android Tablet, so all of the Google Play store apps will work with it. If you have any more questions, let me know.

PS: No I'm not an Nvidia sales rep :P

Well, looking through the WoW subreddit to get some help here(seen lots of people asking for laptop recommendations lately as the new expac Legion is coming out, and is a bit of a step up in requirements! but these should all still be able to run ESO pretty well, unsure about ultra, but it'll run on medium or high :) ) so This, this and this are three pretty decent looking laptops coming from those various discussions over the months. I'd also recommend /r/suggestalaptop for more help on the matter :) hope this helps!

My specialty, cheap gaming peripherals!

Here are some of my recommendations:

E-3lue Mazer II wireless

Cheap but good Anker mouse

Cheaper alternative to the Razer Naga

For higher range mice, in the 50-100$ range, I'd suggest either sticking with Logitech or Razer. I personally use a Logitech G9X mouse, considered by a lot of people (myself included) to be THE BEST gaming mouse ever made, however it only has 5 buttons and currently costs over 180$.

However, this is one that I'm eyeballing pretty hard, since it has a ton of buttons and is wireless, thus easier to take with me travelling.

My biggest suggestion, however, is to find a mouse that has interchangeable weights. I know it sounds like a silly gimmick, but by having different weights you can fine-tune your mouse to different playstyles and games. A heavier mouse allows for more precision (think long range sniper shots), whereas a lighter mouse allows for better reaction time. Once you use a weighted mouse it's very hard to go back.

Razer's Naga is a great mouse. I usually use a deathadder because it works better for counter strike, but the Naga is great for ESO. It has a numerical pad 1-12 on the thumb, and changeable grips on the right side to suit your grip style. Synapse, the program used to set macros and. change the dpi, is easy to use. All around, I give it an 8/10, becuase it is just a bit too small for my hand, but it works very well for others.

Exactly the same here! Bought a zeolites c-12 mouse with breathing spectrum led configuration for that colour aesthetic! Very cheap for the quality and functionality!!

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Programmable-AFUNTA-1000-1500-2000-4000-double-speed-adjustment/dp/B016ZF77OA

Edit - so now I've been using this mouse and it's great! I've got sprint and interact on the side buttons, along with a trap mob ability and a pull ability (as I am tank) along with dodge left and right, with ultimate on the fire button and the + dpi button changed to toggle run/walk and the - dpi button to cycle though dpi settings. Tried to programme an alternate mode to have WASD on the mouse but haven't spent enough time to get that working.

WOULD DEFO RECOMMEND buying this (any) gaming mouse as the functionality, ergonomic design and weighted motion makes the whole experience SO much more enjoyable... (Not to mention the beautiful RGB LED Trippy light display)! This one is the cheapest I found for what it offers and the price definitely does not reflect badly on the quality!

The Intel HD 520 graphics will significantly hold you back. If you want to crank the graphics up you will need a dedicated graphics card instead of an integrated card.

I imagine it would run the game at low settings but not very well. Honestly I just looked up the Thinkpad T560 and for the price it costs you could buy an ASUS Republic of Gamers laptop for the same price, with a better processor, 2gb dedicated graphics card, and 16GB RAM. You would be able to run ESO on High settings above 30 FPS. I have a 3 year old Asus ROG laptop and play on High settings with shadows on medium and water reflections turned down and run 30-60 fps depending on the area. You just aren't going to get a good experience with an integrated graphics card, so for the price you would be paying why not get a gaming laptop with better specs?

Here is a link to the ASUS ROG Laptop

Hi friend I build and mod gaming PCs and repair others. Not sure what your budget is, but first things first, that is freaking impressive you can even launch the game with that PC, as it has Intel HD graphics, not even a dedicated mobile GPU! Haha!

Anyway, I would try and dust out your laptop with some compressed air, and take the back panels out if you can to really clean it out, and replace the thermal paste on your CPU if you can. (Like $5-10). It is possible your game is freezing, spazzing out because it is overheating. You can also prop up the laptop somehow, at least the back of it, like where the battery is, to lift up the back an inch or two so it can breathe better. This can dramatically drop your temps.

But, since you need a different laptop for gaming anyway, I can help steer you in the right direction. Not sure on your budget, but this is a GREAT laptop for the price. It has a GTX 1060 8GB GPU, which will destory ESO. The 10 series GPUs from Nvidia is also the first mobile line of GPUs that are not hideous in comparison to their desktop counterparts. In fact, they are almost the same. Right now after rebate, this is $950. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154446

Here's a cheaper option that is $660. I think it was cheaper a few weeks ago on Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

I had trouble playing ESO when I was using number keys for skills as well; I might suggest either a gamepad or a gaming mouse. I swear by this one; it's gotten me through the overworld and more: https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-High-Precision-Programmable-Cartridge-Profiles/dp/B00MB7L4SW/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1518282539&sr=8-8&keywords=red+dragon+gaming+mouse

The magsorc pet build Henchman suggested is a really easy build to use; it's gotten a lot of people through vet Maelstrom so it's bound to be easy in the overworld. My friend found a link to a build that doesn't have any bar swaps (it's for vMA but again, it should help you in the overworld!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cafavdcH7po

And if you're on PC-NA, let me know and I'll gladly help out with challenging bosses and with crafting and foods and stuff <3

Tagging /u/tigerthug too so they see this <3

My recommendations:

Mouse: 2014 Razer Naga MMO mouse, has 12 buttons that can be programmed to do pretty much anything you want.

Keyboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823114028

Headset: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Gaming-Headset-Surround/dp/B003VANOFY
The Logitech g930 is an amazing headset, incredibly comfortable 7.1 surround sound and wireless that works a pretty large distance and has solid battery life with a long enough cord to easily plug in when it starts to die.

You will not be unhappy with the above choices, I put a lot of research into getting these for myself and have multiple friends whom I game with that have the same equipment. They are proven and work.

u/Gunnerstrip7 · -1 pointsr/elderscrollsonline

Not necessarily. In the past, that was true. But these days, a good deal of gaming laptops run just as good as desktops. This is because many of them no longer bother with 'mobile' versions of cards, and just maker larger and better cooled computers in the process.

Aside from the ones listed here, which I'm grateful for being shown to me, there are ones like this one which are expensive, yes, but just as strong.

Likely, whatever I get, will be from Amazon, and paid overtime rather than all at once, to help lift the weight of its cost.

u/Nicaara · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

Before I got my wonderful desktop a couple years ago, I played ESO on this thing. It ran fine at lowest graphics, but there were some odd graphical bugs that I could never resolve. The shadows in indoor spaces, specifically caves, liked to spaghetti everywhere.

If graphical issues are bound to bug you, that's another thing to consider when deciding on your potato. Firsthand experience from someone, though, is probably the only thing that can help you predict these issues. Good luck!

u/Euphanism · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

The Imperial Edition comes with everything here: https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Online-Imperial-PlayStation-4/dp/B00I056QDC

It's probably not worth the cost unless you really, really like the statue.

I don't know about a lot of the add ons, but if you're looking to get the most DLC + boosts, I highly recommend the ESO + subscription. It's a good way to test out the DLC and get some crowns to spend, which are an in-game currency used for things like mounts, costumes, etc. If you decide in a month that it isn't for you, you can cancel and only be out about $15.

u/edit1754 · 4 pointsr/elderscrollsonline

The GTX 1050 GPU is nice, and Sager has a lot of nice options in their selection

But I generally recommend to avoid their NP5855 model, due to the fact that it's likely to have very poor display quality. It's one of a set of laptops I would avoid due to issues like this. IMO the difference between a good display and a not-so-good one is far more noticeable than the differences between most other specs, and a poor display can somewhat kill part of the reason to buy a gaming computer: to make games look better. For the $800-$1000 price bracket there are some options with similar GPUs and much better displays at the same time, and I'd recommend checking that second link for the alternative recommendations listed. I recommend to make your priorities: good GPU, good display.

The Inspiron 5565... honestly actually uses a worse display. Same poor picture quality, but with 1366x768 resolution instead of 1920x1080, so you'll have limited room onscreen outside of gaming, to fit multiple windows, reduce scrolling, and whatnot. As an alternative to that for the price bracket, I recommend the Lenovo Ideapad 700 with the 1920x1080 IPS display and GT 950M DDR3 GPU.

u/Tactical_tampons · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

That sounds like a pretty great setup overall :) Personally I have this mouse and i use 1-5 for skills and 6 for bar swap.

u/App13c0r3 · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

Honestly, I think it's unlikely to be free to play, and with the fact that you can pre-order the game for 60 usd, I think it'd going to be buy to play, like Guild Wars 2. Probably with some small micro-transaction things, again, like GW2. I imagine that a monthly subscription on consoles would turn many folks off, as with the many Elder Scrolls fans that they seem to be trying to heavily target.

Here is the amazon page to pre-order the game. http://www.amazon.com/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-Pc/dp/B0081Q58AW

u/AaronAZ623 · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

Razer Orbweaver so I can move and use my skills easily with my left hand and Logitech G602 for LA, sprint, jump and bar swap. I tried having my skills on my mouse but for me it makes LA weaving alot harder so I like this setup the best.

u/lusty68 · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

I bought a few days ago from amazon and got it yesterday. it pretty cheap there, not sure if you NA or EU but british amazon is pretty cheap. for about 20 pounds

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B0080V93Q8/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new&qid=1426235996&sr=8-1

u/shruel · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

If you don't manage to get the game on the official site you can try some other vendors like Amazon or G2A. You can even find it cheaper than on the official site, Amazon has it for $32 and G2A for only $23 (yes, also includes 30-day of free playtime).

u/john_doe_jersey · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

I use the Logitech G620 which has 6 buttons on the side instead of the 4 on this mouse and I have all my abilities besides ultimate and quickslot on the mouse. I love it.

u/mystifier · 3 pointsr/elderscrollsonline

A superior monitor? The Alienware AH-IPS panel is pretty much the cream of the crop, you can't get any better than this.

Like you said, it's your opinion.

u/-Admiral_Snackbar- · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

That's true, you'll have a possibly of your key being revoked if you go the route I mentioned. It doesn't happen to every, for example my friend bought a key from cdkeys and he's fine but it is quite common. Also it's really cheap jn amazon right now, only £8. https://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-PC/dp/B0080V93Q8

u/kadala-putt · 2 pointsr/elderscrollsonline

Like I mentioned elsewhere on this subreddit; I'd be a little more cautious about G2A since I've heard at least one publisher call them out publicly, stating that the keys they sell are "not legitimate".

If it helps, Amazon has it for only about $7 more, and I would never ever be worried about purchasing from them.

u/Niamh1971 · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

I recently bought a boxed from Amazon, think it cost £10 or something. If it's fulfilled by Amazon, it's very probably ok and no hassle to get cash back. Currently going for £7:

u/Ashikuro · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

My new pc is almost identical.. rtx 2080, i9700 cpu.... I think I might go for an Alienware AW3418DW https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0777RY75V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_JtHkDbCFD2EAR

Anyone used this? Is upgrading to HDR worth it? Or does RTX ray tracing give similar lighting benefits?

u/mysticmanESO · 2 pointsr/elderscrollsonline

I use a 12 bottom on the side MMO mouse to play ESO for me it makes play a lot easier.

This is the one I've been using for 3 years to play ESO but there are a lot of those brands out there.

"Too expensive"? No. Smart buyer? Yes. Amazon. $29 physical copy. They're trying to clear out their shelves, no doubt. http://www.amazon.com/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-PC-Mac/dp/B0081Q58AW

u/cynaes · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

I would recommend getting the American CE from https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Online-Morrowind-PC-Collectors/dp/B01MSDDERO/

Keep in mind that the German CE has a German-language art book.

At least for me, ordering from Amazon.com instead of Amazon.de was a whopping 3€ difference. I'd expect shipping to the UK to be about the same as to Germany.

Amazon Morrowind collector's preorder is up

Xbox

PS4

PC

u/Ebbenezer · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

Not sure if it is for prime or not but I think I saw it on amazon for $45.

Edit: http://www.amazon.com/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-PC-Mac/dp/B0081Q58AW

u/Froggmann5 · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

> 60$? and if you were subscribed before the B2P patch comes in... do you have to pay the 60$? or do you already own the game?

You have to already purchased the game to have subscribed. You don't have to re-buy the game.

Also, some places are selling ESO cheaper. I believe Amazon was selling ESO keys for $30 USD last I checked.

http://www.amazon.com/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-PC-Mac/dp/B0081Q58AW

u/gossi · 0 pointsr/elderscrollsonline

Just to follow myself up, you can get it boxed for £17 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-PC/dp/B0080V93Q8/ref=sr_1_1_twi_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425831426&sr=8-1&keywords=elder+scrolls+online - probably cheaper online just for download code.

You won't need to pay a monthly fee.

u/Franc_Kaos · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

That price is the first months sub, so, far as I'm concerned, my point stands. I mean, in reality you can pick up ESO from Amazon for £16.21 sterling

http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-PC/dp/B0080V93Q8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1404369111&sr=8-1&keywords=eso

So, you know, there's that.

u/whoopzzz · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

Amazon still has it for $22.

You have to buy a physical copy though.

EDIT: Plus S&H is another $5 for standard.

u/misternumberone · 4 pointsr/elderscrollsonline

He said that other players might be involved in the crime system! He also said that the payment model hasn't been announced! I'd thought it would cost $60 and be pay-once, but I guess Amazon.com is just guessing.

u/Thalur · 1 pointr/elderscrollsonline

Does anyone know if the non-digital versions (e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-PC/dp/B0080V93Q8/) will come with the 20GB data files on DVDs? I have a 10GB/month download cap so I currently have no other way of getting the game :(
