Here’s the Amazon listing. On the mobile site, it says “Product packaging: Standard Packaging” and “This item’s packaging may indicate what is inside and cannot be hidden.” There is a checkbox for “This is a gift” with a “Learn more?” option which brings up the following :

“Include a packing slip so the recipient knows who it's from.
Hide prices on the packing slip.
Add optional gift wrap.
Include a personalized gift message.
Keep the gift a surprise by concealing items that ship in only the manufacturer's original box”

When ordering from the Amazon app, there is a prominent option on the checkout page that says “Ship in an Amazon box”.

Yes, that is the proper way to do it. You only need to make sure the tip is poking through, not a lot of the screw needs to pierce the end.

So as long as you’re relatively gentle when you’re towards the end you shouldn’t have too much of an issue with cork in the wine, especially with so many vineyards switching to synthetic cork. Plus I’d much rather have a little bit of cork in my wine from that than have to completely strain the bottle after the cork gets ripped.

I do strongly recommend using a waiter’s corkscrew (also known as a wine key, at least in the States) over the winged style.

If you’re buying expensive vintages that have been aged for a while I would recommend getting an Ah So opener . They are definitely harder to use, so practice on cheap wine first. But, once you get the hang of it you’ll never have an issue with breaking corks. They’re great for removing a broken cork and for wines that have really really been aged and have a delicate cork.

Edit: I suppose I should clarify “proper”. That was the way that I was taught when the restaurant I work for sent me to have professional training from a teaching sommelier.

Ok. Insulin costs are high =/= why costs are higher?

Crony capitalism is why prices are high and getting higher. Competition helps with that. When the government create barriers to market entry, costs remain high and will grow higher.

Perhaps this book will help explain it to you. I would be happy to buy it for you if you would be so kind to put it on your Amazon wish list.

Get a water filter for your fridge and a nice water bottle. I'm super picky about the taste of my water so I got one of these and it works great

These two things and some tape are all you need for beautiful headlights. You go through the levels from coarse to fine sanding in alternating directions, vertical with one pad then horizontal with the next. You only need to use 4 or 5 pads, I went through the whole set the first time and found the last couple to be too fine to do much. Clear coat after they're sanded and dry and your good to go for years to come.

I use Prismacolor or Copic markers but those are really expensive at around $7 each. For small projects I use BIC Marking permanent markers with ULTRA FINE tips. Ultra fine is the most important part and you can only get them online but they are so worth it and last a really long time. I have 2 sets and they have such an amazing range of colors!

He just meant sweet drinks with caffeine, other than obvious energy drinks, for healthy choices here's an example, with 100mg per serving and some tea stuffs, complete with BCAA if you workout or want to maintain muscles.

I could drink coffee black or not, don't get the fight about it. They taste different. If you can enjoy a good IPA or stronger beer there's no reason you can't enjoy coffee black.

Get a good knife. Never look back.

I have no interest in promoting a brand but this is my good knife. It has made me very happy.

Hi nail care/nail polish spaz here. Cuticles are indeed a specialized bit of skin on your nail. It sort of makes a barrier from the end of the skin on your finger to your nail bed. Oil up your nail area a couple times a day (morning and night? or just night time if you want). You can be fancy and get a nail oil pen or be basic with some vitamin E from Wal-Mart or even olive oil. It'll soften things up. GENTLY use an orange stick to push them back once a week. I don't really recommend metal tools cuz it's easier to do damage with them, or even introduce infection :( If you have the kind of cuticles that want to climb way up your nails, you can get stuff to dissolve the crust.

Be gentle and never ever cut your cuticles unless you have a hangnail snagging on things. Did I mention be gentle? I've seen so many grown out manicures where you can see the technician got too vigorous. I did it to myself once even, and the part I jacked up is still growing out 8 months later. You can see the travelling dent in the center of my thumb here

What I described up there is what I do to keep things nice because I abuse my cuticles with acetone pretty regularly for the love of polish!

Easy way to get revenge...

Buy a bunch of the bags of just the marshmallows, then refuse to buy more lucky charms until the current box is finished.

While you make them finish the box of marshmallow-less cereal make sure to enjoy a bowl of the all marshmallow variety right in front of them!

Make extra "mmmm" sounds, just to add salt to the wounds.

His TV is like this one, not sure if this is the exact model number he has But it’s close

You can see the top link, that TV is clearly made to make people believe it is better than what’s in the box. Your regular consumer is going to see 4K and think it’s amazing without looking into the specs to much.

You need something like these: https://www.amazon.com/ABC-Distributors-Light-Switch-Labels/dp/B00NH8RKUA, but that particular one is way too expensive IMO, just the best example I could find with a quick search. Better if you have a label maker and can make your own.

I see this everywhere on amazon these days. These sellers are using previous listings for unrelated products that have good review numbers, so the current product they’re pushing looks like it’s a good products. Look at some of the reviews on this it’s for a Mac book pro case. Another camera I was looking at had reviews for a cheese cloth. I wish amazon would do something about this

Congratulations. You just wasted my time as well as your own time pitting yourself against a random Internet stranger for facts that don't justify anyone's character. You've truly reached the pinnacle of success.

After about 5+ years of using a Keurig we kicked it to the curb, it was just too expensive to justify keeping and I don't think we're excessive coffee drinkers.

We'd each have a cup in the morning, so that's two pods. We also usually take a travel mug with us to work, to fill an average mug (16oz) means you need to brew two pods to get it more than half way full. That's six coffee pods for one weekday morning. That's 1/2 to 1/3 of a non-bulk sized K-cup box.

This past holiday we asked for, and received this guy and it's been fantastic. We set it to make an "8-cup" pot of coffee and it's exactly the right amount for the average morning. When we get home from work we reset it (dump the grinds, put in a new filter, fill the reservoir) and it's good to go. It can be kicked off manually or if we wanted it has a good old fashioned auto-on feature.

I came here to say this too! Advantages of parking farther:

  1. You don't have to fight for a space.
  2. Save on gas if you're self-interested and emissions if you're not.
  3. Burn maybe 5 extra calories.
  4. Your car is less likely to get scratched.
  5. You can pull out faster and easier.
  6. You gain 3 arbitrary cardio points.
  7. You're less likely to hit pedestrians.
  8. You can see if anyone is hiding under your car at night. (for the vulnerable)

    I'm sure there's more reasons...

Advantages to fighting for a close spot:

  9. You... get to save 30 steps maybe?
  10. You have less to go if it's dark or scary.

Honestly, I can't think of ANY other reasons. If it's raining, bring an umbrella. Seriously, they're no big deal now with those nifty backwards-folding ones.

You could go with this one and it would be better than anything you could get for $20.

But it’s definitely worth the extra money to go with

I have the Hakko and a buddy has the Weller so I’ve used them both and they’re both great stations.
