I've been extremely happy with my [AKGs] (https://www.amazon.ca/AKG-240-Semi-Open-Studio-Headphones/dp/B0001ARCFA). I think they have them in stock at Long & McQuade

The thing is, there actually is a viable plan to reinforce the existing structure of the Turcot interchange and increase its lifespan by another 25 years. It seems that the basic architectural flaw with the Turcot (basically, that road salt is able to get into the structure and degrade it) is actually fix-able.

If you want to know more, I highly recommend reading Montreal at the Crossroads: Super Highways, Turcot, and the Environment it's a really good analysis of Montreal's overall transport infrastructure situation, and it goes over all the various solutions to the Turcot problem. It's a compilation by various authors, so it also includes all the different viewpoints. It may not be in bookstores, but the Biblioteque Nationale and all the university libraries have copies.

Business Adventures Amazon

I've been a customer of Simon's since the 80s - friendly, knowledgeable staff and prices that are competitive (for some things). The other recommendations in the thread are also pretty legit (PhotoService/Lozeau). You probably can't go wrong with any of them.

As for the monopod... hard to tell build quality from the pic but it seems to get favourable reviews on Amazon

This matresse from Amazon has 5 stars rating, cost 400$ USD and has a 30 night sleep trial. Good deal IMO.

Oh yes. I was also recommended to read this book, where CBT techniques are covered. https://www.amazon.ca/Feeling-Good-New-Mood-Therapy/dp/0380810336

This is a must-read:

http://www.amazon.com/Oh-Canada-Quebec-Requiem-Divided/dp/0679412468

(there will be a chorus of "QUEBEC BASHING" complaints shortly, but this is a very valid and important perspective on the sovereignty movement from one of the most important writers in the province's history)

this.

Simple. Effective. It just works.

This book is a phenomenal look at how deep mafia influence has been in Montreal over the last century, with a special focus on the last 20 years.

A jacket like this for exemple. Nothing fancy, just casual wear for some t-shirts, jackets, etc...

This question has been asked a lot so search previous threads.

That being said, I've just read Fluent Forever and it's a good book with some unique strategies for learning another language. You can absolutely learn French on your own. Read La Presse and watch French language TV with French (not English!) subtitles. Avoid using English as much as possible.

As far as classes are concerned, I know Cotes-des-Neiges has free weekly French classes for residents (http://www.cclcdn.qc.ca/francisation). I assume you need to live in CDN but your neighborhood might have something similar. Check out language classes at the universities as well - they won't be free but they shouldn't be too expensive either. And AFAIK, if you take a French course at any university, you will be charged the Quebec resident rate, saving you some dough.

The Fat Woman Next Door Is Pregnant, it's a series of 6 books. It captures the soul of the city well.
