I'm gonna add my comment here, because my post on LPT isn't showing up, if you look through my post history let me know if you see it:
If you have a small child that you wake up w/ late at night (or even 10 PM yeah that "early", instead of turning on an EXCESSIVELY bright light. Get these bulbs instead:

You can also get orange - but do NOT go past 25 watts, and that's because the filament needs to stay dim to keep a warmer color. Even 40 watts has too much blue and will wake you up, and the orange isn't magic. So again stay on 25 watts.
You can also go LED, but don't go past about 3 watts, a 4 watt bulb is a 40 watt (or close) equal bulb, and that's too bright. Keep things as dim as possible.
