I disliked razors and instead went for this It helped with my acne immensely. I basically love shaving now. As long as you go slow (with care but not like super slow either) it's better than a razor and I rarely get ingrown hairs in my jaw areas. Go electric, it won't be super omg smooth but the convenience of a quick but still close shave is worth it. Or you can buy the really expensive ones and let me know how those compare instead.
I bought the Andis 29775 11-Piece Home Hair Cutting Kit to trim my beard & found that I can use it instead of shaving my neckline. It cuts almost as close as a razor & shaving cream. It comes with guards at 1/16, 1/8, & 1/4 inch lengths. Ive been using mine for a month & it seems to be of much better quality than the products specifically marketed as bears trimmers. Also note that the product is primarily marketed to black men because of the problems that many have with ingrown hairs when using traditional shaving methods. I'm a white guy & I can testify that it works just as good in spite of my lack of melanin.
