Been using these for 3 months now and they're fantastic. The bump on the back here is bigger than the ones I've used before and the front is thinner which makes it easier to find/press the buttons.
Celeste is one of the best 2D platformers I've played ever.
Hollow Knight is an open ended platformer focused on exploration, a lot like Super Metroid if you've ever played that. It also has beautiful hand drawn graphics and is very atmospheric.
Both are indie games so they're on the cheap side and are definitely worth your time.
Also if you're having trouble with the joy cons I recommend these grips. They come with a nubs you can put on the analogue sticks that make them way easier to use
I haven't seen anything exactly like what you're talking about.
Do you like the feel of the joy-con grip? Have you considered something like this?
They also have joy-con cases that don't attach to the tablet, but also have the "comfort grip" shape to them. I would think these would be less comfortable than the above option, though.
Personally I prefer and use this ANGPO one
It goes on the individual joycons themselves rather than the entire switch itself so you can still leave them on when you detach the joycons. The only downside is you can't put them in the joycon dog-grip with these on but I don't use that anyway.
Edit: You can also dock the switch with them on, though it covers up the top USB port ever so slightly. Can fit skinny cables but not the pro controller cable for example. The bottom one is completely open however.
Here is one, and here is another. Both have good reviews.
