The stands:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C5H5DN0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
My wife doesn't notice difference between 60 and 144 FPS and doesn't play shooters so for her we went with a less expensive option that had a lower refresh rate/response time. The speakers are a little quieter too, and they don't have display ports (her aging GPU only has HDMI ports anyway). If you can spare the extra money per monitor I would HIGHLY recommend the VG248QEs. I've had these for about two or three years now and they've been a dream. Reliable, beautiful picture quality, speakers are loud af. I use display port cables on each and then I have my Switch hooked up to the right monitor with an HDMI. When it's time for me to play Smash with my buddies in discord, I just push a button and it flips right over for Switch time.
Couldn't recommend the stand enough either, things incredibly sturdy and well constructed. I've had it for as long as the monitors and purchased it again when buying my wife's monitors this week.
I've got 3 of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0043T7FHK/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with no complaints. but there are a lot more on the market in this price range now than when I bought them, it's probably worth looking around.
Here ya go, love these things.

at less than $400 for a pair I would recommend a couple of ASUS VE248H 24-Inch LED Monitors as these are what I'm currently using and I can't complain.

I'm currently running a triple monitor setup, with 2x
Asus VE248H
And 1x
Asus VG248QE
For intense FPS gaming, and I love them to death. They're high response TN panels, so they won't look as good as an IPS, but in my experience I've had very few issues once they're calibrated.
If there were any other features you were looking for (3D-Ready, DisplayPort, VGA, etc.), let us know so we can find you the best monitor for your budget.
I have the 22" version of this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0043T7FHK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1397144460&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40
It has built in speakers and has a headphone port. If you don't already have external speakers this is what I would buy. It's fantastic for gaming on the ps3.
That is exactly what I do with monitors! Here are mine:

I guess you'll enjoy watching the linked album below. The old monitors I've had for more years than I care to admit. Bought with stands that are viewable on some of the pics, and lets them rotate 90 degrees at will. I've lost that functionality for now, but I am happy enough to unhook them and hook them up as needed. For now, it will be portrait on the ends, and landscape in the center. The new monitor is an ASUS VE248H Not the greatest of reviews, but I find none of the problems reported on Amazon about ghosting, so I am glad I took the chance. I am kinda strapped at the moment with so many projects going on, so this was a decision that was more of a spur of the moment, gotta have it, kinda thing, when budget said wait a couple more weeks, but it paid off.
this monitor is great if you're on a budget. It has a 2ms response time and an input lag of 10ms, which is about as good as you'll find. It's a 24" display with hdmi and built in speakers.
Check out displaylag.com and check it out. Search for anything in the 10ms range and you'll find a ton of excellent choices for any budget.
Don't get caught up in the 'get a 1ms response time' monitor thing, that isn't necessarily indicative of input lag, just how fast the pixels change color.
Asus does have a 75hz (VG245H) variant for $170.
As it's not meant for gaming I would save $40 and get the (VE248H).
2 of these - they were a bit cheaper when i bought them
and this stand
As far as the quality of DVI vs HDMI I don't think (and certainly can't tell) the difference between the two. In front of me right now I have two identical monitors running from my PC one on HDMI and the other on DVI, and I honestly can't see the difference. I couldn't even tell you which is which just by looking at the picture.
However, if you're planning on playing your Xbox or laptop through the HDMI you can also channel the audio through that connection and into the monitor if it has speakers.
DVI is certainly more common, however these days with the ubiquity of HDMI more and more monitors have it built in along with DVI and VGA. Personally I'd get a monitor with both hookups and just choose whichever is most convenient. Hook up the Xbox via HDMI and the laptop/desktop via DVI so you can switch between them without unplugging things all the time.
EDIT: I have two older versions of this monitor (I think) for reference.

Maybe this?
This ASUS VE248H Was voted best 24" gaming monitor in 2012 by Squidoo.com (It was even voted the best in the user poll). I recently built my first gaming PC with it and I love the display. ($191)

I picked this guy up about 4 months ago and have been very happy with it. It fits the specs and price you wanted as well. I was lucky enough to find it new on eBay for $119 at the time so it was a real bargain.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0043T7FHK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. i use this; it has a high refresh rate at 144ghz but only 1080p display. its pretty basic but it has all you need for a solid gaming session. the speakers are garbage tho so dont expect to be able to listen to netflix without a headsett

I use the 22" version, but you'll be sitting further away than me.
Some notes:
-144Hz, or 120Hz is pretty pointless if you're just using this for an Xbox One. Hz rates how many frames per second a monitor can display. The Xbox One doesn't, and I guarantee wont, have any games running faster than 60fps, so anything above a standard 60Hz display for an Xbox is just wasted.
-Don't get anything above 1080p. The Xbox One is currently incapable of displaying higher resolutions, so it'll go to waste and you'll have to deal with downscaling.
-The monitor I listed has a response time of 2ms. 1ms is best, but I doubt it'll make a difference for anyone, especially your needs.
Most $350 monitors are either 144Hz or 1440p, both of which are pointless for a console that can't run games at those levels to begin with. Save the cash and get a solid 1080p 60Hz monitor.
One last thing.Since I'm most likely getting the first monitor, what's the difference between these three? (Same monitor) https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VE248H-1920x1080-Back-lit-Monitor/dp/B0043T7FHK/ref=sr_1_7?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1479785709&sr=1-7&refinements=p_6%3AATVPDKIKX0DER%2Cp_75%3A30-%2Cp_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A6570747011%2Cp_n_size_browse-bin%3A3547806011&th=1
(First one I have you)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16824236154
Then there's this one? It's the same one, but with a Q in the end of the product name.
Same here https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VE248H-1920x1080-Back-lit-Monitor/dp/B005BZNDHQ/ref=sr_1_7?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1479785709&sr=1-7&refinements=p_6%3AATVPDKIKX0DER%2Cp_75%3A30-%2Cp_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A6570747011%2Cp_n_size_browse-bin%3A3547806011&th=1
It seems like the Q one is more expensive (10 dollar difference) What does it have? Should I get the Q one instead of the H one? It also seems that the Q one has 50,000,000 instead of the H one which has 10,000,000 (Which is better?) Also seem like in Newegg the monitor has a sticker on it while in Amazon it doesn't. Something to consider? Where should I buy it from?
Honestly if you're going for an Nvidia GPU then it's going to be expensive to get a monitor with decent syncing for cheap. These days one of the best technologies in monitors in my opinion is syncing. In Nvidia cards it's known as GSync and in AMD cards it's known as FreeSync. Naturally monitors that feature the AMD FreeSync are cheaper than Nvidia's.
Another factor to consider is whether you plan to get a TN or IPS monitor. IPS is usually favoured for gamers but TN is usually more cost effective in terms of the response time per dollar. Both the monitor I originally suggested and the one you linked there are TN.
Response Time should also be considered. 2ms vs 1ms. It's really up to you whether that matters but 1ms would be better.
Here are some examples of monitors, the features they have and their price points. All the monitors I suggest here are 1080p.
Asus VE248H: The one you linked. 24"; 2ms, TN, No Syncing. $145
Samsung S27E310H Very similar to the one above except 27" and glossy instead of matte. Has 1ms response time, TN, No Syncing $150
Samsung CF398 This is an IPS monitor- will have richer colour but response time is 4ms. This is a curved 27" and has FreeSync (so if you got one of these make sure to get a RX470 instead of the 1050 GPU) $180
Asus VG245H TN Panel, 24", 1ms, FreeSync 75Hz $180
AOC G2460PG This is basically the cheapest a GSync monitor comes in at for this size. It's 144Hz, 1ms, TN, 24" €320
I'm guessing your budget isn't quite enough for a GSync monitor but I just added it to show the price jump that's required to get that with an Nvidia card. If your budget is stuck to under $150 then go with either of the first ones. The Asus if you like matte and the Samsung if you want slightly bigger and glossy. Matte is usually a preference for gaming but tastes vary.
If you can afford to go to €180 then get an RX 470 GPU instead of the 1050 and either the Samsung curved IPS or the Asus TN (3rd or 4th monitors on the list). It's really a toss up on that front for your preference again.
The Asus monitor can be bought on newegg for slightly cheaper after MIR, I dont know if your $1020 is a hard set purchase wall or not, but here it is LINK
Don't really know much about monitors, I'm just gonna link it to you:
Main one
Secondary one
24" both
I just want something that can last for a good period of time without being obsolete. Since I have some money in the pocket for this particular buy, I would like something like this
If you haven't ordered yet, that Asus is $180 at Amazon.
I'm currently looking at this monitor: http://www.amazon.com/VE248H-24-Inch-Full-HD-Integrated-Speakers/dp/tech-data/B0043T7FHK/ref=de_a_smtd (sorry for the long link). If anyone knows any extra infor about it, good or bad, I'd be interested to hear it.

Asus 24" monitor and a Gltek mousepad.
Try the ASUS VS248H-P. There's the ASUS VE248H with a squarer, more similar stand to the VG248QE, but costs $30 more.
There's a 1ms model in the UK called the VS248HR but can't seem to see it on US Amazon.
I got this model, the ASUS VE284H, over Black Friday weekend and I love it. It's a 24", that was one of my criteria too. The bezels could be thinner, but the price jumped a lot for both thinner bezels and VESA mounting capabilities, at least on the ones I was looking at (VESA was one of my requirements).

Try /r/hardwareswap too.
something like this ? https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VE248H-1920x1080-Back-lit-Monitor/dp/B0043T7FHK
I need new power cables for my two monitors. Any recommendations or will this work? I need something reliable and, while I know people are more likely to leave negative reviews, it concerns me to see "my monitors are dead now because of these cables".
what do you recommend? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0043T7FHK/ref=twister_B01GKNCWRE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 This better?
My second monitor just gave out on me after a long and glorious existence. I'm looking at this to replace it.

I've been using two http://www.amazon.com/VE248H-1920x1080-DVI-D-Back-lit-Monitor/dp/B0043T7FHK/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1457634314&sr=1-3&keywords=asus+VE247H of these with a Samsung in my triple monitor setup, no problems and they're about 2 years old now.
Found this for a bit cheaper http://www.amazon.com/VE247H-1920x1080-DVI-D-Back-lit-Monitor/dp/B004EFUOY4 and would probably be just as good.
No experience with Lenovo but that's a 7ms display and you don't want to go above 5ms for gaming.
That's a tad bit on the expensive side, unless you want to pay more for the fact that it has slim bezels. This ASUS panel is a far better deal.
I don't think that one did but this one seems to have speakers and will be compatible as far as I know
I mean HDMI connections transmit sound as well so it should work perfectly
also this 2nd one I linked you is half off and 24" instead of 21.5"
I had this before I upgraded. Pretty good monitor.

For something like this is way better then an no name brand monitor. Plus it's has an 2ms input lag, Which is a lot better then TV's and some other monitors.
http://www.amazon.com/VE248H-24-Inch-Full-HD-Integrated-Speakers/dp/B0043T7FHK something like this more suit your taste?
http://www.ebuyer.com/468707-asus-vn247h-24-led-hdmi-monitor-vn247h actually.

You think you did PRETTY well on your build?! Your pc is sick man be proud of it! If you have a large budget I'd go with this for your gaming monitor:http:http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VE278Q-27-Inch-Integrated-Speakers/dp/B0043T34RK/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1344951432&sr=1-2
It's not 1440p but its still pretty large and 1080p.
For a smaller browsing monitor I'd get a slightly smaller one:http://www.amazon.com/VE248H-24-Inch-Full-HD-Integrated-Speakers/dp/B0043T7FHK/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1344951551&sr=1-5&keywords=Asus
Btw, I do like Asus a lot so that probably influenced my picks. Regardless, I hope I helped.
