Looks like only $40. I want to see some pictures when it's done!

The 3rd gen iPod that twotrips has doesn't have a zif connection. the zif connection is on the ipods with video. He needs a 50 pin adapter. I did the CF card mod on my 3rd gen, and unfortunately not all of the adapters work. I ended up using this one. The ipod also doesn't function perfectly with the mod, it will sometimes hang or not shut off, but it still works.

The Compact Flash converter I got

As mentioned, instead of actually using a Compact Flash, I went with the SD card so I could use it in my camera if I wanted. (I think the CF to SD only takes 32GB or smaller)

The CF to SD adapter

If you don't care about secondary uses (the SD will probably stay in the iPod forever, so buying a large CF instead might be better)

Plus the battery will last longer!
