Cool find! But you can get them for $30 off on Amazon right now. (They're currently out but there was stock just yesterday)

If you are looking for a switch that takes a lot of force to actuate, take a look a Cherry MX Greens. I believe that have about 80 cN to actuate. They are currently kind of rare, but you can find them on a CM Storm QuickFire. Not too expensive on Amazon

Greens are more difficult to get your hands on. Not impossible, but more difficult. I can tell you right now that Pokers don't come in greens. (Though if you're capable, you could do what I did and buy green switches and a poker and soldier them on)

If you want the backlighting and/or DIP switches that the CODE has, go for that. Otherwise I don't think there's any reason not to get the Quickfire.

Also, did you mean the Quickfire TK or the Quickfire Rapid? There's also the Quickfire Rapid Stealth with greens.

Cooler Master Storm Quickfire Stealth with Cherry MX Green switches and a couple random keycaps. Heres a link:

Once upon a time there was CM Storm QuickFire Rapid w/ MX Greens. They are kinda rare though.

Personally, I have this keyboard, and I love it. The other types of switches are cheaper, but good god, I love the weight to these keys.

I just bought one of these and I am pretty happy with it. I got mine with greens, but it comes in blues as well.

Amazon! I got it for only $23.80 due to an Amazon Rewards Card gift card I had from signing up a bit ago too. No idea about the Nordic ISO layout though.

Basically if you want full sized or TKL you gotta go Coolermaster or WASD. Those are the only ones i know of. Also ducky.

60% (which is the best IMO) you can go with the Ducky mini or the v60.

I was about to ask which layout you prefer, but since I'm unfortunately not going to be back on for the rest of the day, I'll just list all the green keyboards that I know of and their respective links:

Full size:

CM QuickFire TK

CM QuickFire XT

WASD v2 104-key

WASD CODE 104

TKLs:

CM QuickFire Rapid

CM QuickFire Steath

WASD v2 TKL

WASD CODE TKL

EDIT: Had to reformat the links cause I screwed up. :V

This would probably be a good time to mention that both companies (CM and WASD) have quality boards for I have a WASD v2 and a QFR in greens and I recommend either one.

If anyone else in the community know of a green board that I missed, adding on would be appreciated!.

Wow that's pretty cheap for a mechanical keyboard. I love mine, but if they were cheaper in general I would have 5 or 6 ones with different switches to see what they're all like.

u/itsabearcannon · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

16GB, and it's a Quickfire Rapid (newer model, no branding) with MX Greens and Tai Hao white blank PBT keycaps. Outdated photo, but I get the sneaking feeling you saw it the first time around.

On Amazon, it's $107.17 for the QFR with Greens and $89.99 for the QFS with Greens.

Take the average and call it $100 to buy it from a retailer, plus $15 for the keycaps.

I had decided to get a CM Storm after watching this guy break down a Filco and a Storm side by side.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cy1JgF4_UT0

But it seems the manufacturer of both boards has decided they want a new line of CM keyboards out so I can't get my hands on something like this.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C2MBG4I/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=

Out of stock everywhere for all their cheaper boards, only the more expensive ones with shitty backlighting. The plan was just to get some new caps. Now I think filco it is, the topre is too different for me.

Thanks for your help

The layout change is too much for me to fuck with. Although the value is obvious i've spent too much time looking into this already

You missed the $79.39 for 87 MX green switches.

That totals >$177.39 for your keyboard, which is at least $60.17 more that a QFS with greens.

Edit: Not that I'm trying to talk shit, I prefer DIY myself, but it's certainly not "$98 total". It's not really close to competitive to CM's rate.

Edit 2: fixed amazon link
