I have these Cold Steel knives and they are great. Carbon steel, so they are less brittle than stainless knives and won't chip. They are a good weight and length for throwing. Shorter knives spin faster so you need to be more consistent and accurate. They don't look fancy, but they are nice knives

I don't know if you've just picked the hobby up, but I've got some suggestions for knives, just because I'm really excited to find someone else who likes them too:
Schrade SCTK3CP These are like cheating, it's damn near impossible to not get these knives to stick.
Cold Steel 80STK12 is a nice hefty knife, great for spin or no spin throwing, also the thud is extremely satisfiying.
United Cutlery United Throwing Triple Knife these were my first knives, and I still love them. They're great for spin throwing, and they look wicked. I don't know why they only have 1 star on Amazon, cuz I love mine.
Anyway, yes, knife throwing is fun, definitely a good alternative to a punching bag.
