That's what it looks like when you buy it. I sanded down and refinished the handle. I also sanded down areas for the paracord grip so it would be flush with the handle. Did some woodburning on the haft as well and some designs on the axe head. Also reinforced the axe head with a better screw but it's not enough. I'm going to drill press 3 holes through the axe head and the handle so I can put reinforcing bolts through it. The steel is good and I want this tomahawk to be able to handle any abuse I put it through until the end of time. I love taking this thing camping and just on general walks through the woods. It's extremely sharp and does very well cutting down small dying trees.
