Oh I know you were exaggerating, but I just added that in case someone else reads it and doesn't know haha.

It definitely is a balance. Stuff like the Bottlehead Single Ended eXperimenter is on one end. Two watts per channel, but (from what I've read) they've got a very sweet and warm tube sound. But you only get two watts per channel, so that's on one end of the spectrum. On the other end of the spectrum would be this Crown amplifier with 2100 watts (per channel maybe? Doesn't say). That is way too many for pretty much anything. I haven't heard it, but if I had to guess, if you turned it up so it was only 2 watts, it would probably sound worse than the Bottlehead, because Crown spent more on getting raw power rather than making the power sound better.

The key is to find what will work for you. Personally, I don't care to have loads of power, so I would rather have less but cleaner power. But maybe you live in a mansion and need loads of power to fill the room. It just depends.

Also I know you understand this, but once again, in case anyone else is reading this or comes across it in the future, this is for them.
