I've got Saxx, Ex Officio, and David Archie Boxer briefs to compare. Ex Officio comes in the lead for quality, materials but their support is hit or miss even within the same cut of boxer briefs. Saxx tbh was a total dud for me - fabric is a bit uncomfortable, functionally not much more support and they bunch up. David Archie was the cheapest (4 pairs for under $20 on amazon) and it has replaced the window-style willy-access panels with a round hole and cover. I thought it was ridiculous at first and refused to participate, leaving my snake in the trousers. They have shaped it to support the boys and hole/cover dealio has a secondary effect of keeping your drawers where you want em and the nuts in their pocket.

Now I am wiser and let the briefs do their job. I had a medical problem last year that forced me to support the boys 100% and briefs sucked, everything sucked till I found those David Archie drawers. We will be married come spring. Our children will never be briefed.

I do a couple of one or two night adventures across california a few times a year. From my experiences, here are some of the most handy things in my opinion. Note; I have an absured amount of storage on my F650GS Dakar, so some of this stuff is not for light packers:

One of those battery powered string of led lights, for easy dim lighting where you can't have a campfire. eg, something like [this](

Biodegradable body wipes, for when you reek like B.O. from days of sleeping in the dirt and you have to interact with civilized people.

Water purification tablets, in case you break down somewhere in the middle of bumfuck nowhere and you need water. The bottles are tiny so they don't take up much space.

A chair because 24/7 of either sitting upright on a bike or laying on hard dirt starts to hurt like hell.

Some good undies with a junk pouch, because you are going to be sitting for hours and everything will start to get mashed up and uncomfortable. Best investment I've made, IMO.
