I actually got myself a little electric hotpot
If he already has a 3d printer and some mold makeing experience get him the stuff to try pewter casting I have lot of post about it but to get him started buy him some pewter a hotpot 2 and some mold max 60. I included a video showing the process. If he wants to get into more detailed casting look into getting him a resin printer the new ones go for about 250 and are excellent I have a anycubic
