Im doing my first build and am struggling trying to pick out the right GPU and CPU.

I know this card can do 1080p gaming with ease but probably no 1440p gaming im cool with that though.

Im not very informed on the exact capabilities of all these GForce 10 Series Cards and was wondering would I still be able to watch 4k video files comfortably with this GPU?

Like say for example I have a 1440p mp4 or mkv file and I want to watch said file on Media Player Classic HC, will that play alright with this card?

Or watch a 4k video from a streaming service etc?

I think this 1060 6gb could be perfect for my needs. LMK would this be good for a 1st build?

I'm thinking of upgrading to a 1060 from a 750 ti. Is there a significant difference between the evga single fan sc and the evga ssc dual fan? I like the smaller form factor of the single fan but is there any difference besides cooling capability? And would I be better off just spending the extra 10 bucks for the dual fan?

Alrighty, here is the full build.

If this can run games at 1080p and around or above just 30 or 40 frames per second then I'll be fine with the graphics card. If not, then I'll upgrade to this one.

the STRIX is slightly faster then mine. so you may push a bit more performance. However your price point is extremely close to the low cost 1070s, which would be more powerful.

I just bought this one. I chose the 6gb one and its evga so I think I did pretty good but the freaking tax sucks. atleast I have Amazon Prime so I dont have to wait that long. Looking foward to this, the first card I ever bought was a GTX 750Ti so this is a really good upgrade

A quick look gave me this information : they look like very similar models, except the fan on the turbo doesn't look quite good, compared to the dual fans on the DUAL 6gb, so its safe to assume the second model will stay cooler during gaming. Price doesn't show up for me on amazon, but if the difference in price isn't too big, I think dual fan is the way to go. Otherwise, for a 1060 6gb I would opt for this card if its within your budget!

I'm not seeing it. Can you link that sale if it's still available? I have Prime so I can always swap it out, but at the time I grabbed the GPU I couldn't find it anywhere else in stock.
