No, paying 200 pounds for a lightly modded T50RP seems too much for me. If you're really set on getting closed headphones I can direct you to the hall of fame of Innerfidelity, most of which are probably better and more affordable than importing the V2's, like these for instance. Here's an extensive review
, they're extremely neutral, whilst these might offer a better listening experience.
Unsurprisingly, everyone is recommending m50xs... you should checkout the headphones subreddit, the people over there know their shit. The Sony's and msr7s you were asking about are on different sides of the sound signature spectrum. The msr7s are pretty punchy and bright, while the Mdr-1s are more warm and laid back sounding. I would say go for something like the beyerdynamic Dt770 they really are awesome for electronic music, and they're pretty affordable as well. Also if you want to spend a little more the focal spirit pro is a great choice.

Focal Spirit Professional

Get focal spirit professional. Not as great comfort as the Beyers, but I can still wear my pair 2-3 hour no problem at all.
They come with 2 cables, and works great from a phone as well. Bass is deep and tight, and balance is great (much better than the beyers).
I can attest to Focal Spirit Pros, they're insanely accurate for their pricerange. That or save from some Audeze and have eargasms.
Imo, the most balanced sounding headphone at just over that price point (£202) would be the Focal Spirit Professional.
Sound wise it does pretty much everything right, however the big issue lies with how it fits. Although it is advertised as an over-ear headphone, for me (and I believe many others) it never really fit over my ears (kind of half way between over and on ear). If you decide to look into it, I would highly recommend you try and demo it somewhere purely to see how it fits you.
Other alternatives to look at that are somewhat balanced sounding are: AKG K550/551 (a bit bright for me), Brainwavz HM5 (its cheap but well regarded), and the NAD Viso HP50 (I own a pair and they do sound pretty damn good).
