I ran 0 ga if my memory serves for the run to my trunk and amp from the battery, and fused it at the battery. That's important since this clearly bypasses all your other fuses in the car.

I looked up the one that you were talking about and it looks like it might not really get the full 2200W. 120v @ 20 Amp is 2400W, and my little shit of a welder takes all of 15amp.
