I have big and let's be honest, kind of droopy boobs. I was a 46DDD before I got pregnant. I wear Goddess' Kiera nursing bras as my "supportive" bras I wear to work or out in public. They don't have underwires but are more supportive than the Playtex bras and tanks I have.
When LO was very little, he couldn't nurse if I was wearing them because they held my boob more out away from my chest. You may want to try a similar style and see if that helps without any squishing discomfort.
