There were a few reasons:

  1. I was getting bad heartburn daily and was worried I had a food allergy or something else. I was having to eat some Tums daily and actually left work early a few times cause I felt bad. I experimented with some things I ate and eventually switched to low acid coffee which actually helped a lot. I didn't get any more heartburn symptoms.
  2. Even with the low acid coffee I was still feeling dependent on coffee to do things. Without having enough coffee at work I wouldn't feel productive and things like that. I also noticed that after I came off of my coffee "high" I would feel anxious and uneasy.

    I do still have coffee on the weekends and other times, but I stopped drinking it every day at work, which was where I was getting my 4 cups daily.
