I'm surprised most of the responses are against CDs... It seems the bands you listen to don't put in any effort into the presentation. Example, Heliocentric by The Ocean: http://i.imgur.com/OESWL.jpg . Although that is the vynil set, the cd case is very similar. The CD has constellations on it with months and dates that sits in a pocket that has the times of day- showing where each constellation is in the sky at any time, depending on how you rotate the cd within the pocket. There is a pocket that holds a vynil card for each song. Each card has a Renaissance painting on one side symbolising the song, and the other side has the lyrics. All the CDs I have, have some kind of significance to them, (like signed lyric booklets that double as posters etc.) and I can't imagine buying music any other way.
