Avoid glasstops as they can have seal issues around the glass, in addition to the normal seal issues that desktop humidors can have.

I suggest either going with a herfador(travel humidor) or a good sealing plastic container(food grade tupperware or something with a rubber or foam gasket), simply because the seal will be 100x better.

EDIT: For something bigger than food grade tupperware that may last you quite a while, I suggest one of these or these if you want something even larger.

EDIT 2: For storage with one of the plastic containers I suggested, it's as simple as airing them out(you can use various methods of removing the plastic smell, if there is one, if you want to make it go faster) and then putting in cigars and some boveda packs. Boveda packs can humidify a considerably greater volume for a considerably greater length of time in well sealed plastic than in wood, which may have leaks and also sponges up some of the humidity in the wood itself.

Great taste! I have about 100 AK mags, 100 USGIs, 50 AUG mags, and a slew of other odds and ends. I keep the spare, unloaded mags in 40mm cans. They're strong and waterproof. I have a buddy that uses these guys: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000KA33Q8/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1523359408&sr=8-15&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=storage+containers

Says it works pretty well.

Also, any plans on adding a SCAR or M1A?

That's the solution I'm moving toward. Books into small containers like this and then the large containers into this, which gets sealed with duct tape. Then put the whole thing into storage.

Need me to bomb you these ?
