His one documentary, Life is so bloody good. It's a pleasure just to re-watch it. No reason to downvote LFK1236 for not knowing though.

But the US DVD/Blu-Ray of Planet Earth used Attenborough's voice. The Weaver version was only shown on TV.

At least, the version I bought at Best Buy in Chicago has Attenborough's narration.

Also: DVD / Blu-Ray - Not an import, it's Region 1/Region A for the US market, but it's only available online.

What's bizarre is it doesn't even seem like it was a choice by the US public, who seem fine with understanding Attenborough:

You can buy either the Oprah or David version when they are both released on June 1st. Not that big of a deal.

The sad part is that the American narrator versions don't sell as well (and are not rated as well.)

The Sigourney Weaver version of Earth tanked (in DVD and Blu-Ray sales) and now it looks like the Oprah version of Life will tank compared to the Attenborough version.

Of course, the voice replacers will keep trying...
