I'm pretty frustrated that there isn't a Smart Keyboard compatible case from Apple yet, too. I decided to buy a cheap case on Amazon until something better comes out. Here's what I got: https://www.amazon.com/LUVVITT-CLEAR-Smart-Keyboard-Compatible/dp/B071SL1ZWM
Note: the comments on Amazon state that you will have to clip the edges a bit to accommodate the Smart Keyboard. It's not perfect, but it will work for $12 until a better case comes out.
I'm using a combination of this from amazon; it's exactly what I wanted for a rear Cover; rubber, thin, and non-slippery. A lot of reviews say the Smart Cover won't fit but apparently the manufacturer fixed it and is sending the updated one.

And the apple Smart Cover. There's currently a Groupon deal; 15 dollar for 40 to use on google express. Google express has the charcoal gray Smart Cover via adorama for 49.99 so in total I got the Smart Cover for 30 dollars.
