I picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago for use when swimming and doing outdoor work. I've been pretty happy with it, and it seems well made. The holes make a big difference.

In the summer, I fit my workout watch with a silicone strap full of holes like this. It doesn't gather near the sweat of a metal or resin band. However, it requires frequent cleaning: the sweat does make it to the top of the band, so it looks pretty gross after a week of having salts and sunscreen leaching onto the surface.
