altho, i eat healthy and poop regularly (with the help of coffee!!) i don't trust that it's totally clean back there. i will flush it out a few times before sex. and because i enjoy getting rimmed, i think it's appropriate to clean before for my partner's sake. the trick is to not go in too deep nor stay in too long. you just want a few inches of it clean not the whole thing if you know what i mean.
from what i read and heard is that it's perfectly fine to use it occasionally and there isnt any real harm. but if you're doing it more than 4-5 days a week then that may be a little excessive. i would recommend only 1-2 a week.
