> With a super-35, would I need the full metabones speedbooster XL, or would a regular metabones work for my Canon glass and the sigma.

With the JVC's Super 35 sensor, all you need is a [$399 Metabones smart adapter] (https://www.amazon.com/Metabones-Smart-Adapter-Thirds-Camera/dp/B01D40AXX6//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20) - there would be no need to spend $649 on a [Speedbooster XL 0.64x] (https://www.amazon.com/Metabones-Booster-Full-Frame-EF-Mount-Thirds-Mount/dp/B011GEMHU4//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20) or a [Speedbooster Ultra 0.71x] (https://www.adorama.com/mbspefm43bt4.html)

> ...I loved the image I got playing with the GH5...those who have shot with the JVC, does it look as good?

I have shot with both cameras, and graded 4K LOG from the JVC looks just as good as graded 4K LOG from the GH5. And LOG is free with the LS300, but you'll have to [pay $97.99 to get it for the GH5] (http://adorama.evyy.net/c/60286/51926/1036?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.adorama.com%2Fipcvl.html).

That said, you have to buy a [$995 Ninja Inferno] (https://www.amazon.com/Atomos-Inferno-Recording-Monitor-Bundle/dp/B06XTBWBGD//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20) if you want 4K/60p from the LS300 - the GH5, on the other hand, records it internally.

> 8-bit (JVC) vs. 10-bit (GH5). While I recognize that 10-bit is better, is it a dealmaker/breaker?

If you grade heavily, shoot for broadcast or plan a DCI compliant theatrical release, 10-bit would be better for you. Otherwise, 8-bit 4:2:2 is fine for light grading and chroma key.

Hope this is helpful and good luck with your decision!
