The only thing I didn't like about the blu was the packaging. I'd resisted updating to bluray as I was happy with the DVD set but it was cheap so grabbed it.
Depending what you plan to get there is the Middle-earth extended box. This one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Middle-Earth-Collection-Extended-Blu-Ray/dp/B01LTHMP46 has all 6 extended movies. The appendices, the extras from all of the theatrical discs and the original Costa Botes documentaries of the Rings trilogy.
