You could try a different micro USB cable. See if you can find one that has a ferrite bead in it - like this one - see the cylinder shape object a couple of inches from the connector? That's a ferrite core, designed to reduce electromagnetic interference. That might help in this case.
monoprice.com has excellent quality 28/24 micro USB cables in 3, 6 & 10' lengths. I've used them for years with fantastic results. You can buy the monoprice direct from them or from Amazon
