I ordered the MSI RX 580 for the same price but there's no estimation of shipment date;
should I turn to this one? How's the cooling comparison between the two?
Two Fiddy for a 8gb RX 580 a good deal? MSI Gaming Radeon RX 580 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079NX4GCF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_skrNBbPF8H08T
Literally just installed this one 4 days ago and I have been blown away. This card is basically the one you are looking at but has better cooling (its the upgraded version). I literally installed the card, booted up and it ran out of box. Roughly 3 times faster than my gtx 1050ti I might add. The card is quiet and doesn't seem to get hot. I would be happy to check the temp while gaming but not sure how to with AMD card. Very glad I chose it over the 1060. No more screen tearing and proton games run way better from my experience.

I have the MSI one and have had nothing but great experiences with it
This or the r580?. Trying for 1080p 144fps build. No monitor yet so I can go for either freesync or gsync.

Yeah I think it's because it's discontinued? Idk

Lmk if thats the correct thing, cuz I will be damned if I buy a support card lmao.

In America, a RX580 is $329.
Thanks for the help, I'm going to upgrade the case.
Don't know how much you know about video cards, but is there much of a difference between these two? I bought this one:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06ZZ6FMF8/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and realized I could have this one for $8 more (I still could easily swap)

I don't see much spec difference. But I don't know enough to truly dig deep and distinguish the two.
The MSI Gaming Radeon RX 580 8gb has 2 HDMI Ports. What is your opinion on that? Do you think it could handle some higher end VR games? Project Cars 2?
This one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079NX4GCF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_J57-Bb123MTX2
Dumb question. I can see that one has more words than the other, but is there much of an actual different between these two very similar cards?

Both are the same but it seems one has extra options?
Hello again Oolon,
I managed to snag the monitor you suggested me for 600$ (150$ cheaper)! Glad I waited. Thank you again for the suggesting me this build! However, I wasn't able to catch any significant price drop for the Radeon RX 580. Do you believe it will become cheaper?
However, some other graphic cards such as the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1070 are having insane 75% price drops. Have you been following these? Is there a graphic card that had a huge price drop that I could fit in my build? I haven't purchased any part yet except the monitor, haha.
Cheers! - Zero
Edit: Hmm, I'm browsing through the GPUs. Could you please tell me the difference between the GPU you proposed
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B06Y66K3XD/?tag=pcp0f-20
and this one?
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B079NX4GCF/?tag=pcp0f-20
Thank you so much!
Edit #2: I ended up having a change of heart for the monitor. I chose to go for a more powerful and durable PC with a lower-quality monitor.

If you’re willing to wait and look around it usually drops. I got mine 2 weeks ago for $200. Running all of my games at ultra to high settings at 1080p and, although I don’t have it yet, it is vr capable.
Not especially, in theory they should be coming down as time goes on, but no guarantee on the timeline unfortunately. It looks like Amazon has an MSI 8gb for $249 and the 4gb was on sale for $163 not too long ago and if you're flexible on GPU, the GTX 1060s have been popping up even cheaper than the 580
ETA: There might be a catch, but at a glance here's one for $229
