The folks over at /r/ultralight like to recommend THESE for tight budgets. Believe me, they are not MSR Hubbas, but a lot of people have had very good results. Might Probably to small for 2+ toddler.

THIS on the other hand basicly is a Hubba clone. Again, decent reviews and very affordable.

I personally use Sierra Designs NightWatch 2 for my 2 person / 3 season and love it. Sierra Designs runs sales fairly often.

The FeatherLite is currently on sale @ REI which is a great price. I'm not 100% sure I'd recommend this for camping with the 1 year old or any toddler as being a FL, it would lean towards being tender and slightly less durable.
