I like to add sliced radishes and mushrooms, and fish balls or shrimp balls. Or sliced fish cake, which is cheap and definitely makes it seem more like a meal.

Also if you can spring for a little more (still well under $1 each), the Korean ramen like Shin Ramyun and Neoguri are much better.

My favorite is ramen with an egg. Not that crap ramen that you get in an American grocery store. The kind of ramen that you can only find in Asian grocery stores (or amazon).
