I'm surprised no one has said it yet, but WET WIPES. Also, I saw that you're new to taking a camera, so I wanna suggest the Peak Design Capture Clip if you use a DSLR or a mirrorless camera.

It really depends on the weather and how accessible you want it to be. I throw mine in one of these holsters and it has pretty decent structure to hold up in a bag if its surrounded by soft items like clothes. It's also good to have out of the bag and around your shoulder while backpacking so that you can access your camera quickly and stow it if you're in rough terrain or if it starts to rain. I've also used something similar to this camera clip, and it's ok. Kind of a pain in the ass but it beats just using a neck strap.

Dunno about your 80D, but I have this for my mirrorless for when I go hiking.

For £30 you might as well give it a try! If your light seals are good you can keep film in the camera for awhile. I've left Delta 3200 in my ME Super for a few weeks with no adverse effects over the summer when I was shooting a series on my commute into NYC. Expired film is fun to play around with but sometimes you'll have to over-expose it because light sensitivity deteriorates over time in bad storage conditions. The clip you linked looks pretty good to me, but I'd be worried about the camera bouncing around while you're riding. Looks like it locks which is good, so it won't accidentally slip out. Peak design makes a less expensive clip you'd honestly be fine with if you wanted to go that route. The only reason I'd still suggest them is that the clip will hold the camera flat against your belt. Honestly for £6 I'd try the one you linked first, the reviews look solid.

Sony if it needs to fit in a pocket, GX8 (or G8) if it doesn't (or you need interchangeable lenses).

I use the GX8 with the 12-35mm f/2.8 most of the time, it's a fantastic combination for travel. I wear it on a camera clip on my rucksack front strap.

I know this is late but a clip for the backpack has been amazing. A good macro lens gets heavy when hiking and I tended to cart it rather let it bounce against my chest. I got this las year for my birthday and I will probably buy another. It screws into the base of the camera and fits securely into base that’s in turn clipped to your belt or backpack strap. It’s very quick to undo for wildlife and I know longer have weird bruises on my chest. Camera clip at amazon
