Get over the ear hearing protection (like landscapers (should) wear but made for kid sized heads). Be ready to leave early if she's not ok with being there.

I took my oldest to her first game at age 5 and she did ok. Thankfully the grandparents were there too so when she lost interest in the second Half grandma kept her entertained.

I wouldn't have taken my 8 mo old to a game but that's because I prefer, if I'm spending the money, to watch the game not deal with the demands of an 8 mo old and there is no ignoring those demands, and she will not remember it at all. And no way I'm changing a diaper at the stadium bathroom. I'm not a germaphobe but it's a bit much for me.

That said to each their own and there's no reason a responsible parent can't take their kid to a football game. Especially if you are ok with missing some of the action to walk her around etc and/or leaving early if need be.

edit: in this thread a bunch of people that don't have kids and think all they do is cry when they are in public.

You should be able to find some at a hardware store as well for cheap. Similar to the ear protection that the line guys that work on the ground wear. They should be quite easy to find and inexpensive compared to modifying an aviation headset.

Hey guys, I am looking to spend a couple hundred dollars to buy some over the ear headphones that have great isolation. I travel a lot and own an electric drum set and would prefer to use the same headphones for both. I've looked at the DT-770's and the direct sound EX29's but really can't figure out what would suit my needs best. When in band practice, I find that that using something like this: http://www.amazon.com/3M-Peltor-Bulls-Hearing-Protector/dp/B0000X6L78/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1406514041&sr=8-4&keywords=gun+ear+protection over my apple earphones works okay when I need to follow a track and not kill my ears with very high volumes.

Budget - $250+

Source - iPod and this badboy http://www.rolandus.com/products/details/1228

Requirements for Isolation - The most isolation I can get without sacrificing too much sound quality.

Preferred Type of Headphone - Full-sized over the ear

Preferred tonal balance - Balanced

Past headphones - I've had the skullcandy aviators for about three years now. I thought they were extremely comfortable and sound quality was pretty good.

Preferred Music - I mainly listen to death metal. I like to be able to notice bass drum patterns as well as bass lines.
I will also listen to all other genres so I figure I need balanced headphones.

Examples:
The Faceless - Emancipate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6ggyvN7hYc

Silverstein - Massachusetts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGCJ6tksOdA

Daddy Yankee - Limbo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BTjG-dhf5s

Mahler - Quartet for strings and piano in A minor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhrpVEigHfU

I've been playing music for many years and enjoy good sound quality but I have no idea what I am looking at when I am looking at headphone specs. I will appreciate any help you guys can provide. Thanks in advance.

EDIT.- Sorry for the bad formatting. I don't post too often and don't know what I am doing.
