Hi /u/90sWebSurfer - there are a few options, depending on what you want to spend, how much work you want to do in the edit suite and whether you shoot alone or with a crew.

If you're a solo shooter, there won't be anyone to hold the boom pole, so a camera mounted mic is the simplest option.

I recommend you get a pro mic and put it on top of it camera. That way, when you're ready to start booming it, your mic will be ready too.
