Amazon changed their pricing on the same bundle to match this. Except no sales tax (depending on where you live).

XBL: AC2 is now free!

PS+: Bitch please, AC3 is now free!

Go ahead and make the switch when/if you can afford it. I recommend this...http://www.amazon.com/PS3-Uncharted-Plus-Bundle-Playstation-3/dp/B00D6LPE2E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1377196242&sr=8-2&keywords=ps3+bundle

It comes with Uncharted 3 and a year of PS+.

Or you could wait for the GTA 5 bundle as well.

i'd recommend the uncharted with ps+ bundle. 250gb hard drive. $249 right now.

For anyone buying a Playstation 3, you can pay $20 more and get the new version of the PS3, with Uncharted 3 Game of the Year Edition and a year of PS+ here and a Grand Theft Auto V Edition Here

You said FPS in comment and HZ in another which is why I specified it. While a 120hz monitor is nice, I brought it up because the jump from 60 - 120 fps in games is not enough to warrant any sort of noting on. Seriously. You are just being over the top at that point. I've seen the comparisons. It is nothing that you would be able to focus on unless you were having to keep a direct comparison up. If you are really focused on any game then a constant 30 frames would seriously be enough unless you have never actually been immersed before. 60 fps is nice eye candy but if you can't live without it then you are missing out on many console exclusives or the experience behind an older game with a classic crt and official controller.

As far as deals go, I see humble bundles recycling quite a few of the games that I actually want or steam sales headlining games I already own from the last sale. New titles don't go on sale for at least a few months, or at least most worthy ones don't. Most are for games I have no interest in or games that have been out long enough for me to have them already, and yes just a few dollars spend on weekly bundles easily adds up. It's why I don't buy anything until I had already have them on my want list. I have been slowly working through my backlog and have found immense pleasure ticking them off one by one and in the time I've been playing them there are plenty of recycled deals going around in case I missed one for a game I absolutely wanted to play. I am not a well-off man by any means and I look hard and well into how things add up since my hobbies deal with finances a lot. In terms of sales, I actually follow both markets and see the deals in both of them. I'm doubtful you focus on the console side nearly as much if at all but there are more than enough deals that would satisfy any gamer. You treat console gaming like its immensely more expensive but I've done it since I was a child with little to almost no allowance. If you really want to get technical about possibilities, I usually just share games with friends and we each tend to to only buy around 10-12 completely brand new games yearly and share them which lets us all play a ton of different brand new fully priced games. Between 3 people that is 30-36 games right there that are fullly fledged and that we are genuinely interested in playing. This isn't even talking about older games that are now cheap and fun to collect (enough to the point where collecting them has become a hobby just in itself). If you want to push it even further we could all just pay for a service like gamefly or PS+ (a set of amazing games that are offered monthly along with discounts on all the other psn titles). That is more than enough games to keep me occupied for a while and I'm not losing out just because I don't have 100 more useless games that I don't care to play at that point.

When you tally up the cost for your pc, the monitor, the speakers, the keyboard, and the mouse, it's upfront costs are immensely more than a console that can play on most tvs. Not to mention upgrading your graphics card every two years once you are not getting the same performance you are boasting about now will put a dent in your wallet compared to a new console every 7 or so years. I tend not to even buy new consoles until well into their life so I can buy great games that have been price reduced by then. If you want to say that a pc offers non gaming goods as well then I could just throw $250 towards a laptop that could easily do all the non-gaming needs. Even if you take all the deals you can for games compared to brand new consoles games, it still takes a while before the differences level in the favor of pc. Hell, a brand new ps4 is $400 and if you buy 5 new games at $60, that is $700, not to mention the bundle deals that include a year of ps+. $700 for a pc will get you a mid to barely upper end tier pc and that still hasn't taken a monitor, speaker, keyboard and mouse into consideration. If you just suddenly decide to grab a ps3 now, its $250 for a bundle with 1 year of ps+.

In the end, there are cons and pros to both sides. I love just playing games in general so I don't really care about maxing the framerate I won't even notice ten seconds in. I play games on computer as well, so I know how these things are tempting but in the end I have seen way too many people complaining on hardware and specs and getting more hyped by the idea of a new rig istead of just enjoying the game. It's why I love consoles. In fact I might just go play the original Legend of Zelda on an NES for kicks right now. My friend spent around 50 bucks and got it along with the console and 5 other games on ebay and lent it to me for a bit. Just please don't get so hyped up into specs that you forget about the game. If you really want to enjoy your 3ds instead of complaining about it, then save up a little and buy a great game. I believe you said you have 500 games or so on steam so I think you'll manage with skipping a few bundles.

If you want a few recommendations, I have just started playing Fire Emblem (my 3ds is right in front of me even) and it's really fun if you like a challenge. Animal Crossing will seriously burn your hours away and is a great value as gameplay is based around simple and relaxing day to day play. Not to mention it has a great community behind it so feel free to join in on the fun at /r/animalcrossing. If you ever just needed one game to tie you to your 3ds grab Animal Crossing. I always tell people that AC and FE are two games that more than warrant owning a 3ds. It's not that hard to get a little collection of fun games if you save up a little.

Canon means it's part of the official story.

Non canon would mean it is a side story, could be happening in an alternate universe or timeline while using the same characters to portray the story.

The upcoming $199 PS3 will be good enough to play, there's no real difference in hardware, it's just cheaper because it's 12 GB and Sony is trying to price match the xbox360. Both aren't actually good deals.

Short search on amazon comes up with this bundle which is $70 more for Uncharted 3, a 250GB console and 1 year of PSN. Definitely do some bargain hunting, you might get better prices elsewhere.

There's a new bundle that comes with UC3 GOTY, a 250GB HDD, and 1 year of PS+ for $270. http://www.amazon.com/PS3-Uncharted-Plus-Bundle-Playstation-3/dp/B00D6LPE2E/
