I use the RAM Mount and my phone hasn't even threatened to fly off in the year I've been using it. It's well constructed and surprisingly cheap. However, if it is hinting at rain, the phone goes into my pocket.

Not sure if that's sarcasm or not, but I just purchased a RAM-Mount for my iPhone 4. Pretty pleased with it so far, especially for the price:
