This and some elbow grease will get that off just fine.
Not sure about the abrasive part, but if it doesn't say "Aquarium safe" I wouldn't use it. Mostly because there could be soap added into the product. Example: SOS pads. (But it's not always that obvious.)
Soap Pads work wonders.
