This is $20 cheaper than it has ever been on Amazon.

Amazon has it for $20 cheaper, in stock in a few days: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZZGXTTK

Sapphire Radeon Nitro+ RX 580 4GB (Used - Very Good) - $130.31

Decent?

u/Pistol-P · 4 pointsr/bapcsalescanada

I'd go for the 590 between those two options for sure.

I saw some decent prices on returned cards from Amazon Warehouse Deals if that's something you're comfortable with. Also the RX 480/580 cards seem to be a dime a dozen on local used markets so you can check that out too.

Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 4GB - $150 + $8.97 shipping (new third party seller, also available from Amazon for $205.)

MSI Gaming RX 590 8GB - $241.32

  • A low end Ryzen build is the same price as getting the i3-8100 for almost idential performance and you will get a better quality motherboard (more potential for future upgrades).
  • Try to get a kit with 2x4GB sticks of RAM for dual channel.
  • If you can stretch your budget to an RX 580 ($30 more than the 570 on Amazon) go for it, it will be noticeably better than the 570.
  • Use Windows unlicensed for a while and save up to get a license from Microsoft directly. Students can also sometimes get discounts or free copies of Windows, in case that applies to you.

Here's another option: if you're an Amazon Prime member, you can get a Sapphire RX 580 4GB for $199.99. For current 1080p gaming, the performance is pretty much the same as the RX 580 8 GB version. The downside is that less VRAM may be a slight problem a few years down the line and you might have to disable some graphical features in the biggest triple-A games that you otherwise wouldn't have to with the 8 GB version. Also, I have to mention that the previous poster's build uses a RX 570 card that is currently out of stock on the Memory Express website.

Woah. Thanks so much for the help. Should I get a 4GB or 8GB 580s? Also, howd you mod the bios if you dont mind?

Currently have this 4GB 580 or this 8GB 580 in mind. So, should I get the 8GB or 4GB?

Thanks!

if you can buy those cards at that price, I will buy them from you. I bought the cards from retail, https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B06ZZGXTTK/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&condition=all
585$ * 8= 4680$, I do not manufacture the cards. Thanks
