These are pretty good and you wont have to put foil over your head.

I got a pair of refurb Sennheiser cans for $28. They aren't available that cheap anymore but $40's not at all bad for headphones as nice as these are.

But what if you want a mic as well? AFAIK, most non gaming headphones with mics cost a lot more than gaming headphones with mics.
this is one of amazons #1 selling headphones, 4 star rating with over 1k reviews, and they're not even $20.
if you get seinnheiser you're spending a lot more, even for earbuds.
Now whether or not the price differences are worth it one way or the other I'm not trying to say, just that if you want a gaming headset with a mic, it seems like you are better off going with the "gaming" brand rather than more name brands.
You might try the Sennheiser HD 429 S ($38.99). It doesn't have a mic boom but I've never had any issues with sound quality/volume on the cable mic, and the headphones themselves are great (for the price).
Does the Sennheiser hd429s have a removable cable?
So im a mexican guy looking for my first "real" kind of heaphones and i think that the hd429s seems like a good option, i found these for $820 pesos or 42 dollars.
https://www.amazon.com.mx/gp/aw/d/B009HQTORS/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_23_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=F0S48P6NTC8A5QM7D66Y
Now, the only thing that i dont know os that if It has a removable cable, i've been searching everywhere for an answer but couldnt find a clear answer.
If these dont have a removable cable then i Will most likely save some more money and buy these hd461g for $1555 peso or $72 dollars https://www.amazon.com.mx/gp/aw/d/B015Y0MXA0/ref=pd_aw_sbs_23_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=JGAJ2SYE579RJFYDQW2Y&th=1
Or maybe some hd451. Could you guys also give me some alternatives that also has a removable cable?
I have a Birthday coming up and I really am low maintenance but I love music and appreciate a great pair of headphones. I am looking for clear and crisp sound with balance, no emphasis on bass or anything like that. That being said, these 3 models are a good price range for my family, which would be the best for my needs?!
Sennheiser RS120
Sennheiser HD 429 S
Audio-Technica ATH-M30x
Hi, I'd like some opinions for choosing between 2 options of headphones. I'm looking to upgrade from my old Sony MDRZX110 since these have worn down within the past year.
Sennheiser HD 429 S
Sennheiser HD 598 C
I have zero experience for high quality headphones, so anything better than my old Sony's will do. Mainly considering price, comfort (can be worn for 6 hours continuously), and durability.
The HD598 are more than double the price, and based on the ratings it seems to be better. Should I invest in the more expensive headphones and expect higher quality sounds, comfort and durability? Or should I stick with the cheaper HD429?
Thanks!
Problem: not living in the US often leads to (very) higher price ranges.

About mics:
Don't get me wrong, I'd go for a good headphones + mic any day, but i'm bound to my headset for the time being (skullcandy slyr + Xonar DGX). Unless it breaks, I'm not changing for the moment.
But still, prices are a very regional thing. As you can see, I'd have to spend quite more than you to get your same equipment. In Audio Technica case, price is literally doubled.
Budget - Around 50$
Source - Galaxy S5 and PC
Requirements for Isolation - Yes enough to keep sound out in public
Will you be using these Headphones in Public?- Yes
Preferred Type of Headphone - Do you want IEMs, full-sized, or on-ear?- IEM or Over Ear
Preferred tonal balance - Midrange and Bass
Past headphones - Ath-M20s, They sound good overall just looking for something a little bit better with a more emphasized sound
Preferred Music - Rock, Indie, Classical, Instrumental
I am considering RHA MA350s and Senhieser HD 429 S. Witch one should I buy or should I buy neither of them? Any other headphone recommendations are great too.
The hd429s is more or less balanced, sits around the ear, doesnt isolate, is fairly large, has velour pads, and has an inline remote for volume control.
The sr60i is non-isolating, sits on the ear, is fairly small, has foam pads, and is geared for rock music while being fairly balanced
The sr60i's are probably the better value, but are not around the ear and do not offer volume control.
just want to point out that while the srh440's are nice entry level cans they are closed and therefore isolate to some degree.

Sennheiser HD 429 S
I did a review on the ModMic 4.0 the other day. It's $42 + shipping ($49 if you want a mute button). For heapdhones I recommend the ATH-M30x ($53) or the Sennheiser HD 419 ($50). Both of them should put you right about the $100. The Sennheiser 429S ($39) is also in that range but I'm not sure what the difference between that one and the 419 is other than the mic.
Hmm I haven't heard of any Sennheisers with inline mics. After a quick search, I came up with this Sennheiser HD429, but the quality and feel is not as good as your HD555s. You'll also have to get a splitter that splits the audio from the mic do you can plug it into your computer. Something like this
Sennheiser HD 429s
they were €120 when i got them this time two years ago and haven't let me down yet
i mean i like music, its going to get used for other shit. I think im going to go with these http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-429-Headphones-Smartphones/dp/B009HQTORS i can get them for 40 bucks right now. Any obvious issues with these or will they work out fine? the only reason i ask is because it says "Headphones for Smartphones and Tablets, Black" that makes it sound shitty in my opinion
Sennheiser HD 429, period
